I bought this for ten bucks and was very happily surprised. The play doh containers are small, but I knew that going in. The cannon is the coolest part for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. When you insert the play doh and press the cannonball loader (very clever, the way they did that!), you can make different shapes come out depending on which slot you select from the "sword" which slides in across the front of the cannon. The treatsure chest has a hole in the bottom which allows you to create "golden dubloons" (sorry about my spelling) - and there is also a "coins" shape press on the top. The alligator roller is smaller than I expected, but cute and functional (albeit a little cheap in quality). The alligator and dolphin cutters were a big hit with my daughter, who is using them now (quietly!!), as I write this. They actually came out pretty bad but she is thrilled with them. I love that the gold play doh has sparkles in it (but not the kind that will get all over your house). Great set - and we love the Doc Mcstuffins play doh set too! Also, one warning - to have any fun with this, you have to go in expecting your child is going to mix the colors within 2 seconds of opening them. :)

My son opened this for Christmas today at 11 am. By 2 pm. Shaking the light saver out the middle piece flew off . I thought oh well we'll super glue it . Then the blue pieces started falling out.. bow I'm dealing with a very unhappy 5 yr old .

This toy is very disappointing considering the other types of tools you can get. I am a big fan of play-doh and their clever use of space, but the items in this set are mostly a yawn, and TINY. If you already have plenty of tools, you might like to add this to your collection, but you likely already have a better cutter, a dolphin, and crocodile from one of the other tool sets.
CON: There are only four cutter molds. For some reason they decided to put in molds of Jake and Izzy, but did not include Cubby or Scully! There is no Hook or Smee molds either. There is a crocodile and random dolphin that could have easily have been made into major characters. The mini buckets, which are cheaper, have three times as many molds and tools.
The extruder, while shaped cutely, is laughably small. It is even slightly smaller and harder to use and clean than the generic hand extruders you can get in just about any play doh kit.
The rotary cutter is puny. It works, but it's shape lends little to the experience especially since there is already a crocodile cookie cutter included. It would have been better to not include the other cutter if this one was shaped as the Tic Toc Croc.
PRO: Treasure chest mold, while small is cute and you can put small trinkets in it if you wanted.
The cannon has two different molds on it for making Pirate Dubloons.
The extruder stencil is in the shape of Jake's sword.
Small pieces like most mention, but 2 year old loves to play with them. Needs help with the cannon and doubloons. Love the colors. Miss having a Cubby cutout.
Lot's of fun for my 3 year old grandson (and me). Just be aware that the Play-Doh containers are quite small and you should have a supplemental supply of Play-Doh handy. Otherwise, great toy and loads of fun!
