Directions

Pull tab to open package & remove product. Place one pre-measured capsule in the main detergent cup and close (Do not use on short wash cycle programs. If capsule does not fit in the dispenser or does not dissolve properly, place on the bottom of the dishwasher). It is important that both Quantum and the detergent cup are dry. The capsules are wrapper-free and are designed to release their contents when they come into contact with water. Do not pierce or attempt to unwrap the capsules. Close packaging lid tightly. Store away from heat and moisture to protect the remaining capsules. Made sure all items are dishwasher safe and separate silver from stainless steel. Wash metal items according to manufacturer's instructions. The optimal water temperature is between 125-140 degrees F. Use on full wash cycle only. In hard water conditions, it may be necessary to continue to use rinse agent for optimal results. Safe to use on china and glassware. In extreme hard water conditions, monthly use of dishwasher cleaner may be necessary for optimal results

    The Finish Powerball Tablets are about the best product I can use in my dishwasher. The water here is not good and I have had a lot of problems using other products. With Finish, my dishes are clean, streak-free and virtually spotless. I was having problems with a white coating on the dishes as well as the interior of the dishwasher. After using Finish Powerball Tablets, the coating was gone. It seemed to take it off of the dishes with just one washing, but it took 2-3 washings for the dishwasher to completely cleaned. I have tried just about every brand and form of dishwasher detergent available in this area, and this is what works best for me.

    I also like being able to just put this in the dishwasher without having to pour or measure. It couldn't be easier to use (unless I could get someone else to load and start the dishwasher).

    The price for this product on Amazon usually is slightly less than I can buy in stores in this area. However, I did get this on a Lightening Deal for about $4-$5 less, which really made it a bargain.

    If you are searching for dishwasher detergent, I would highly recommend trying Finish Powerball Tablets to see how well it works for you.

    At a previous apartment, I had an older Maytag brand dishwasher, and the Finish (previously Electrasol) brand tablets left a smelly film over all of my dishes. The Cascade tabs and the Method tabs worked best in the Maytag dishwasher.

    However, once I moved and got a Whirlpool dishwasher, I found that the Cascade tabs were leaving a dull film on my dishes. I bought the Finish powerball tabs, and haven't looked back: the Finish tabs, in conjunction with the Finish Jet Dry rinse aid, get my dishes sparkling clean, even when I don't rinse them before loading them into the dishwasher, with no odor or residue.

    I'm not sure if certain brand dishwashers work better with certain dish detergents, or if Finish just revamped its formula when it changed its name from Electrasol to Finish. Either way, I highly recommend these tablets: easy to store, easy to use, and reasonably priced if you buy them in bulk and can find a coupon.

    I live in the country so have a well as my water source. The water is not very hard but has a high level of manganese and an elevated level of iron. I bought a dishwasher with a stainless interior because over time the old plastic interior would tend to turn reddish brown from the water. I figured that the stainless wouldn't turn color.

    Bought a new dishwasher, new dishes, and new glasses.

    Over the span of about a year I started to see a buildup of a white powdery material on both the stainless interior as well as the dishes, glasses and plastic soap dispenser gasket. The buildup got thick enough on the dispenser that it didn't close very well, and the buildup was extremely hard to remove. So I decided to switch from the liquid dishwasher detergent that I was using and put the dishwasher through a couple of cleaning cycles with a special dishwasher cleaner.

    The dishwasher cleaner did a really good job removing the white buildup on the stainless interior and a pretty good job of removing it from the dispenser. The recommendation from the dishwasher cleaner that I used was to run it through the dishwasher at least monthly, and I planned to make that part of a normal cleaning routine.

    Then I started to use the finish detergent and I was shocked at the difference that it made. I haven't seen the buildup in the dishwasher since. Not only have I not had to use the dishwasher cleaner again, but over time it also removed the white scaly buildup on the dishes (except for the outside bottom of the old glasses but there is no buildup on the new ones) and the dispenser gasket. Today my dishwasher is as shiny as the day I brought it home. Couldn't be happier with the results of this detergent, and was very surprised at the difference because at the time the liquid detergent I was using was more expensive. Have been using it for over a year now with no issues.

    I love Finish powerballs tabs, I buy them from the grocery store all the time, so when I saw them on Amazon it was a no brainer to order this economy pack. I ordered them, and the first time I used them there was a white powdery substances all over the dishes - I mean all over, like every dish completely covered. Thought it was a fluke, washed another load, same result. I thought maybe something was wrong with the dishwasher so I cleaned it, but still the white powder appears every time I use these (even tried another brand in between and those ones were fine). I don't know if my pack was defective or what, but such a major disappointment.

    These 'bargain pack' presents the tabs in individual cell wrappers instead of the desolveable type that needn't be removed. This, to me, is largely a plus. I find that the tabs fit better in my older G.E. dishwasher's dispenser (the other ones sometimes caused the dispenser door to jam) and because the detergent is immediately available to get its work done instead of having to wait for the covering to desolve away it seems to clean better as well.

    If there is a downside it is that these tabs, like all electric dishwater detergents, are very alkaline. You'll not want to handle the tabs with damp hand and probably should give your hands a quick rinse after handling them.

    All and all I prefer them to the more expensively priced type. Recommended!

    TWO YEARS LATER...

    I just cancelled the order for these. Why? Because they made made them smaller and with a different formula. They are now crumbly, and worse, no longer do even an adequate job. Just terrible! No longer recommended. Not even a bit.
