The ASR Outdoor Gold Panning Classifier Screens are a must-have for gold prospecting and mineral recovery. Utilizing our high-impact steel wire classifier sieves is one of the first steps in successful gold panning by reducing down your material into a manageable size. The Gold Rush Classifier Sifting Set from ASR Outdoor will aid your efforts by sorting your raw material. Available in nine different sizes, for both fine and coarse material sifting, the classifier screens will ensure you'll be able to properly sift all sized material.

These sifting classifier screens are made of tough, high-impact plastic and 304 stainless steel wire mesh with a reinforced high side wall. Each screen will fit over a standard five gallon bucket as well as a 14" gold pan. In addition, they are stack-able and are able to interlock with each other to slipping or sliding when used in conjunction with one another.

Proper classification of material by size is the key to more efficient gold separation. This is true for roughing out your material, all the way to the final step of fine gold separation. Using a sieve works for panning, sluicing and high banking equally well.

Although gold is heavy, small flakes will not be able to displace larger rocks from your initial sample. Screening or classifying material into groups based on size will ensure that any gold, whether nuggets or flakes, will not get lost.

Separating and processing your gold concentrates by size with a classifier makes gold recovery much more efficient and less laborious intensive, is a faster and more effective way to sort and will speed up the panning process, resulting in more gold! This extra small particle screen is made of tough, high-impact plastic and 0.1mm stainless steel wire. This design is made to fit easily into a 5 gallon bucket and it matches the size of our 14" gold pans to allow easy transfer of materials from one to the other.

These seem to be pretty good, but I found a couple of small problems, which are the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5:

1> These are mostly molded plastic with a piece of screen, BUT, the screen is not molded into the plastic. Because of this, there's a gap between the molded plastic & the mesh screen that particles can easily get trapped in between. While this is not an issue if you're sifting yard dirt, if you're using these to sift through dirt for gold (as shown in the video clip of the product in use), silver, mineral, gem's, there's an awful lot of space small pieces that valuable material can get stuck in.

2> There's no physical screen size listed on the pieces, just a barcode sticker that will fall off in time, and it doesn't even give sizes, just a code. 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", & even 1/12" are pretty easy to identify just by sight of the screen, but once you get below that, it starts getting difficult. Would be nice if the screen mesh size was molded right into the plastic for easy identification... While it's still there and it's fairly easy to identify what screen is what by the code(i.e. GP2-170 = 1/70" screen mesh), once that barcode wears off / washes off, you'll need a 10x loupe for counting the holes in the screen to tell the1/50" from the 1/70" from the 1/100"....
