Replace water filter every 216 refills, 2 months or 40 gallons. When replacing the filter, look for item number 60258 35818 - the black Brita Bottle Replacement Filters. For first time use, rinse filter under running water for 15 seconds to activate. Drop in replacement filter and press down firmly until filter is flush with straw. Reattach filter. Fill water filter bottle with water, screw on lid, then sip and enjoy. Substances reduced may not be in all users’ water.

I love this product!! I have had for a few months now and it filters my water to where there is absolutely no after taste! I’m usually picky about the water I drink and now that I have this water bottle, I completely stopped buying plastic water bottles and I just fill my water bottle up form the sink. You do have to change the filter every few months but it’s not an issue and they’re pretty inexpensive. Mine came with a white top, but I like it better anyways.

I actually bought 2 of these so I can keep one in the fridge while I carry the other one with me. That way I always have cold water available and the water from these tastes much better cold. They hold about 22 oz of water and they're pretty handy. The tops don't hold up well if you let them freeze, and the tops do leak around the built in straw, so I don't recommend it for carrying in a tote bag. The filters are inexpensive and easy to replace and the water definitely tastes better than unfiltered tap water. I find myself drinking a lot more water since I got these and I've cut way down on the amount of sodas I drink. I recommend them, but keep in mind that they leak.

These bottles are great for in college because I no longer have to look for filtered water, I can just use any cold water. It is still my favorite bottle and if I happen to need another I will surely purchase the same one!

I really love this water bottle. After the company I work for decided to forgo the contract with the bottled water company I had to figure out how to keep water at my desk. I never liked the idea of consuming as much bottled water as I was, but I really can't stand the taste of tap and some filtered water. The filtered water at my office is absolutely terrible. With this filtered water bottle there is no weird taste when drinking the tap/ filtered water at work. As a bonus I can now clear my conscious and be eco-friendly.

As far as having to suck harder, yes you're pulling the water up through a filter and straw. I would compare the effort required to drinking a thick milkshake. No I can't guzzle water, but it's not that bad.

The filter makes a slight noise right after I refill my water bottle when I take that initial drink. Again not a big deal.

So I give this product 5 stars. And I love that it's hot pink!

This bottle is a change from the Brita soft sided bottles I have and they both have their pros and cons. This bottle is thicker walled which makes it a bit heavier but durable. The filters are larger and more expensive but I think the water tastes better. If you follow the directions for inserting the filter and screw the cap on very tightly, this bottle won't leak on you like the soft sided bottles sometimes do.
Note that this bottle draws the water strictly through the suction on the mouthpiece so if you tip it up like you can with the soft sided bottle, you're going to get water on yourself. I like to keep it by me in the house but it might be a little heavy to carry around on the go with you. Overall it's a nice bottle with a better filter than the smaller one in the soft sided bottle. Also, you can put this bottle and cap in the dishwasher which is a big plus over the soft sided version. I expect the bottle itself to last for years and that's a much greener alternative to buying hundreds of individual plastic water bottles over time.

This is the first filtered water filter bottle I've owned, and I love the concept. I think this gets the job done, but I wonder if another brand might be better in some aspects.

Pros:
Love the persimmon color.
I don't buy bottled water anymore. I have a pitcher at home and use this at work and school. Saves money.
The loop on the handle is useful.
Fits in cupholders.
Has not cracked or broken after several falls on the concrete.
The convenience helps me drink more water throughout the day.

Cons:
Leaks when it has tipped over in my purse or backpack. :(
It does take some work to 'suck' the water out. And yes, my filter is connected properly.
After refilling the bottle, there is an audible gurgling/whistling for the first few drinks. It's not a huge deal, but
When refilling the bottle, be careful where you set the lid/filter down....it is filled with water and you must empty it over the fountain/sink.
Opening the spout is somewhat difficult and forces you to put your finger on the mouthpiece. Seems unhygenic?

Overall, I will probably test out another brand, but I do not regret this purchase. Still use it daily.

I used this for several months. I purchased two of them and would fill them and keep them in my fridge ready to grab before going to class or other places where I wanted to take a bottle with me. It worked well enough, but annoyingly made a sound every time I would drink. Sometimes this would turn into a louder almost squeaking sound and sometimes more like a rattle. This was especially disturbing when I was sitting in class! One day this bottle fell out of my fridge when I opened the door and the lid shattered. I've since replaced these with Camelback Groove (also filtered bottles) and have been much happier with those. They have dropped a few times and have not even cracked and make no annoying sounds when drinking.
