Fantastic sound for such a small cabinet

Wow! The punchy, clear and full bass tone from this cabinet is excellent and far beyond what I would have expected from a cabinet this small!

Love this

This cab pairs well with the svt micro head, and I'm sure would be a great addition to another stack as well. The eminence speakers really make this cab worth the money. Bass is low and smooth, plenty of boom for doom and gloom too. It handles my 5 string tuned 2 steps down like it's nothing, which is exactly what I needed. Room to expand the cab too, which is really great.

Great Ampeg Tone in a light weight cab

This cab has so much character. Ampeg tone. I use the Micro head too. But different head like Tone Hammer sounds great through this cab. Thick traddy tone Thinks but clear. I don't miss the absence of a HF driver. Speakons would be cool but the 1/4" jack is fine. Small foot print, light weight. Get the covers.

Solid choice for the money, especially for practice / rehearsal.

I bought the SV210AV cabinet to pair with my Darkglass Microtubes 500 V2 head. I was drawn to this cabinet initially for the price. There really are not many options in this form factor and under $

Anyway, I knew Ampeg would deliver on a very capable cabinet even at a great price point, and they did. The cabinet sounds wonderful at low volume in a practice setting, and handles higher volumes in a band rehearsal setting as well. As expected though, when you try to put some higher wattage through it for a live application, the speakers do not hold up.

Look, I know the cabinet is designed to pair with the 200W Micro VR head so I don't fault Ampeg or the cabinet for poor performance in an application it isn't designed for. I'm just including that here for a potential buyer who may be thinking this might do for some light gigging. For that, they really may want to consider other options.

I did eventually end up swapping out the 100W Eminence spec imported speakers for a couple of 200W USA made Legend BP-102's. (You can get them here at Sweetwater.) It's pretty loud now and sounds really good. And guess what? Even with a speaker swap this little cabinet was still around half the price of some other 2x10 cabinets on the market.
