The North Face designed the Hedgehog Guide Tall GTX Boot to be  a lightweight alternative to heavy, cumbersome hiking boots. Weather protection is taken care of with a Gore-Tex membrane for guaranteed waterproof breathable performance. Trail debris is kept at bay with a tough synthetic leather and mesh upper, and sealed off with a gusseted tongue. Shock absorption and cushioning are taken care of by a dual-density footbed and a dual-density EVA midsole, and the Hedgehog's above-ankle height provides the added ankle support you need for rugged, uneven terrain.
