Broke in 6 months
We knew we were buying a refurbished product. But isn't a refurbished supposed be almost like new? We've had 2 Hoover floor mates before this one and they both lasted for several years and cleaned a lot better. I kind of thought it sounded funny when we first used it but I thought maybe since it was refurbished that's why it sounded like that. It never cleaned as good as the other ones we had but I thought it was because they had changed the style since the last one we had. I never expected a brand like Hoover to stop working after 6 months refurbished or not. Works perfectly on wood as well as tile
My Grandfather is in a wheelchair, has a cather and spills more then he drinks. This machine works great on the hardwood or tile cleaning up messes. Cleaned a floor that we thought was ready for replacement because it was dull and dirty looking.... to looking brand new! I was amazed how well it cleaned the nooks and crannies of the floor. The floor is ready for traffic before you can roll the cord up.. In our house, that is a great thing! This is a small version of what you see them cleaning with at hospitals. Not as Advertised
I have owned a few of these Floor Mate's, Please but do not buy refurbished!! First they are not what they advertise and what I thought I was purchasing, they gave me a lesser model. Second when I received it, the brushes were missing. I called and complained and they said what you receive is our choice, then they sent me one brush and not two (2) like advertised. Moves easily on my floors and cleans up easily
I did have a steam mop previously to this Hoover floor Mate. After my steam mop quit working I decided that I would like to go back to a floor washer. This model is fairly quiet and I am very happy with the results. I can wash the floor anytime of the day without the hassle of having wet floors for any period of time. This unit does a great job of drying the floor. Also the scrub brushes assist in getting thicker deposits off my floors. The price was very reasonable as well. Absolutely hate mopping. This cleans my tile floors that look like hardwood in a breeze. I use the cleaner designed for this machine, and no problems. No sticky residue. Great Product
Swept, vacuumed and steam cleaned floors prior to using the scrubber. The amount of residual dirt dislodged and taken up by this scrubber was astonishing. I'm not certain but....
