It stripped the blue pretty quickly and didn't leave my already processed hair feeling stringy. 10/10 recommend, i only used two packs for my whole head mixed with 3 oz of water. I Also rushed it and didn't section as much as i should've but it came out pretty even

Great did the job

It worked well. My hair is a honey blonde. I used a semi permanent to make it dark brown before getting crochet braids. I took them out and found a dark Oscar the grouch green. The package said to mix with water to remove blue or green tones. I did. It worked on the first try, but for most people, 2 packages are required. I hope this info helps someone.

Used on African American hair.

I'm shocked by how well this product worked!! For reference, I had my hair bleached in September to be almost platinum blonde and for the last six months I have layered over it a toner, a semi permanent dye, a hair gloss, and countless applications of overtone rose gold and chocolate brown and manic panic pinks and purples. My hair was looking super dull from having so much on it and I'd tried several other hair color removers that claimed to get rid of semi permanent color and home remedies, none of which could pull all or any of the colors from my hair. This is the first thing that worked and it also didn't leave me with any damage. I tried the vitamin c/dandruff shampoo method and the developer/baking soda/purple shampoo/dish soap method and they both made my hair feel dry like straw and experience a ton of breakage all while not making a dent in removing the color. This Malibu C DDL lifted at least ten colors off of my hair and didn't leave me with any damage. As you can see, I still have a little pink on my tips on one side of my head but I'm putting that down to uneven application and missing a spot at the very end. 

Here was my process to get these results (I'm not a professional, I just watch a lot of YouTube tutorials prior to using a product) :
I mixed the packet with 1oz of 10 vol developer but the mixture was too thick and there definitely wasn't enough to cover my whole head so I added probably 4oz of water and mixed until all the chunks were gone. I divided my hair into three sections (top, middle, bottom) then divided each of those sections into four. I used a brush to apply and applied to both the front and back of each section, avoiding about three inches from my roots, and then I put a foil on each section to let it process and hold in the heat. I set a forty minute timer about halfway through the application because I didn't want to leave it on too long. Once the timer was up I pulled all the foils then rinsed rinsed rinsed in the shower until the water was clear and shampooed and conditioned with olaplex. I'll probably still need a protein treatment to maintain the integrity of my hair because it is a little too stretchy but it was already like that to begin with from bleaching. I'm honestly so impressed by how well this worked when everything else I tried failed.

Is this stuff magic??

I had used splat temporary hair dye in my daughters hair in May. Come September she still had a chunk of pink that was VERY bright, and quite a few chunks with a pinkish hue. I tried a few at home remedies to get rid of it to no avail. I bought this, and it is almost completely gone! The pinkish hue is completely washed out, and the chunk that was extremely bright is barely visible. I definitely recommend this to get rid of stubborn color. Her hair is very delicate/dry so we only used water to mix as opposed to toner. A couple of treatments with leave in conditioner and her hair feels completely normal. It was a winner for us!

Great product!

back in June of 2020 during covid I dyed my hair a really dark purple (I used Splat and I think the color was midnight amethyst but I could be wrong, it's been forever) and it stained part of my hair purple. Some home remedies and other products lightened it to a bright pink but nothing completely got rid of it or lightened it past that color. It is July of 2021 currently (13 months later) and I need my hair a natural color, I found this product a week ago and ordered it and today my hair finally became a very light pink color that I should be able to completely remove or dye over. However, the fumes from this are very strong so if you have asthma or any other lung issues I recommend doing this outdoors, my lungs got super irritated while using this and that's the only reason it has 4 stars instead of 5. Also I used it with 10 volume developer and let it sit the whole 45 minutes.

This Works

Honestly the only thing to get blue/green dye out of my hair. It took an entire package of this for one side of my head and I definitely have to do another application but it was an instant huge difference from the faded turquoise to now just hints of color.  Recommend buying multiple packages if you have a lot of hair or if you have a stubborn color!!! Also its 3 OUNCES of warm water or developer. 1.5 oz is for half the package!

I followed the directions to the letter and yet the product didn't work for me

let down

Followed the directions and it didn't really do a whole lot. I was trying to get out a slight blue tint a green hair dye left behind. Didn't really budge. Hair felt extremely dry afterwards.

Don't recommend

ordered ddl despite people saying they got the wrong thing. sure enough, i got ddl XL which has more chemicals and is harsher on my already processed hair.

wrong product

Did not remove my color at all. I used a purple color depositing conditioner a couple months ago and now my white hair is stained a rose gold color. This didn't lighten it at all. I used water not developer. I also received the XL version of this product which is not what is pictured.
