Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have been guests at The Greenbank periodically since November 2021 … it has become our sanctuary!
From the moment you enter through their entrance, you are engulfed in elegant relaxation and joy.
The Greenbank is like a mini Ritz (where we’ve also stayed), except The Greenbank is situated in Falmouth’s picturesque Cornish harbour, rather than within the busy streets of London.
The welcome, rooms, food, cocktails, service, housekeeping and views are second to none.
Florence Nightingale was once a guest and it is always interesting to read and see other artefacts within the hotel, telling of the hotel’s history.
We have previously stayed in other Falmouth hotels but none compare to this beautiful place; whether we stay as a couple, a family or with our little dog, too, The Greenbank is, quite simply, perfect.

We have visited this hotel before for lunch but we’re a little disappointed this time round. We sat in the lounge enjoying a drink, checking out the menu and taking in the stunning views of the Fal. A Wedding had obviously just taken place and the Wedding Party spilled into the lounge which was already full with potential diners. The noise levels increased and what was tranquil became something of a nightmare!
Real shame, we were then shown into a really crowded dining room but the magic was lost. Sorry not a lot left to say!

We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel on the bank holiday weekend in August, it was fantastic, we arrived to be pleasantly surprised we had been upgraded so had a beautiful spacious room overlooking the water, the staff were lovely and nothing to much trouble, the food was lovely there was nothing we could fault, lovely location with a 10 minute walk into Falmouth town, the working boat pub was a great addition to the hotel if you wanted to just have a couple of drinks in a casual environment. Would highly recommend a visit we will be back, thank you

Visited Today 26/04/22 At 1.15.
We Arrived Spot On Time And Were Greeted By A Very Friendly Receptionist, Then Shown To Our Table By Our Waitress.
We Had To Ask For Coffee,Then Had A Fifty Minute Wait For Our Food.
When The Afternoon Tea Arrived It Looked Like It Had Been Very Hurriedly Put Together.
We Have Paid A Lot More For Afternoon Tea,But At £35 For Two ,And In Hindsight ,Our Afternoon Tea Experience Realy Wasn't That Good.
For A Four Star Hotel,The Quality Wasn't There.

If the place is full of locals as well as visitors then that is usually a sign of a great bar and it was. The place was full when we arrived but the very friendly waiting staff soon cleared a table for us. Drinks were served almost straight away to our table and we both ordered the Pasta with Cornish crab and prawns. It was hot when it arrived, plenty of prawns and crab and very, very tasty so well recommend that to everyone.
Great view over the harbour too.

Loved the view of the harbour and the marquee kept us warm and dry despite the weather! We particularly enjoyed the spicy chicken jambalaya and the tasty fritto misto. Service was friendly, quick and attentive.

Wow what a lovely independent hotel. The staff were all amazing given the difficulties with current Covid restrictions. Massive Room and huge bed, we booked late so couldn’t get a sea view which would have been brilliant given the position of the Hotel right on the sea.

Really lovely small dinner menu, which was super fresh and delicious. We loved the Hotels Art Deco bar - great Cosmopolitan Cocktail!

We will return in better times - even contemplating a birthday party gathering for family and friends from around the country.

So relaxing....

Really excellent food. In a lovely location with views across the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere couldn't get in for dinner but made lunch. I choose fish of the day, Ling, really lovely nice flavours my wife had a lamb dish which she really loved beautifully complemented with a tasty joux. Will go there again when in the area. Parking is a bit of a nightmare in the area.

I understand that things are a bit different at the moment and understand the very limited menu but there was not great choice and as for the 4 girls waiting tables, they were a disgrace, we left in the end as were not going to be asked if we wanted a desert after waiting 20 minutes after our dinner plates being removed, they stood together chatting paying very little attention to the dinner guests, many who were sitting without any drinks even, I don’t think I’ll bother again
