Product description
Three's Company was a groundbreaking
comedy series that tripped and jiggled through a world of slapstick pratfalls and some of the most scandalously titillating comedy America had ever seen, and hasn't seen since. Racy
and daring for its time, this breakthrough bedroom farce ran for 8 seasons on ABC. Thirty years after it came to an end, it remains one of the best-loved TV series of all time. This complete series set is a celebration of the exploits of Jack, Janet, Chrissy, Larry, Terri, The Ropers, and Mr. Furley and offers fans a chance to relive every episode and continue to laugh for years to come.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 20, 2024Verified PurchaseI grew up with Three's Company and could watch them over and over again. Love owning our own Full Collection + Bonus Pilots and Bloopers etc ... Quick delivery and very happy!

- Reviewed in Canada on July 8, 2024Verified PurchaseMy dad has always been a fan of Three's Company, and watched a couple re-runs everyday on the classics channel he subscribes to. Last year they stopped running them and Dad asked if I could order them for him, which I did.
The DVD's arrived a few days later and he started watching them. Unlike some other reviewers who said that they ran into issues with some DVD's not playing, my Dad said he had no issues with them.
The only thing that was a bit off was they didn't have enough room in the cases, so two of the DVDs were just jammed into the package, without even paper sleeves, which seemed pretty careless. Thankfully they played without any issues as well.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 5, 2014Verified PurchaseIf you are even here reading this, you know what you are doing. You know what you are getting into. Is it as slick as the new productions? No. But it is like watching a live play on stage with one of the absolute greatest physical comedians of all time, John Ritter. I love this show so much it hurts, so I won't comment on the show itself but the DVD package being offered here. Well, it is a nicely packaged set. Yeah, that's it. Now back to the show. One of the funniest shows of all time. The genius of these characters is often not realized until you watch each episode several (hundred) times. So this DVD set is perfect for that. This show has changed my life. Watch it, it will change yours.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 28, 2022Verified PurchaseI grew up watching this show and watched it in syndication so many times. Still love it. Bought the whole series for $60 Canadian. Well worth it.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 13, 2023Verified Purchasei really love it i am happy that i do not have to send it back
- Reviewed in Canada on May 6, 2024Verified PurchaseThe content is obviously great. Three's company was one of the funniest sitcoms of all time. So going down memory lane is great. Bonus episodes like the two different pilots is also great.
But one of the episodes doesn't even play for me. Most seasons play fine but you'll find a couple of episodes here and there that won't play.
Before you say, it might be my player. I've bought Married with children and Night Court and Cheers. They all play fine.
Again, you can't go wrong with Three's Company but the quality of these dvds, its just not there.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nicht der erwartete Artikel und beschädigt

4.0 out of 5 stars Come and Knock on Our Door...
Verified PurchaseI remember watching "Three's Company" every afternoon at 4 as a kid with my little sister in the mid 1980s.
Wow... soooooo much of that show went over my 8-year-old head. It's clearly a product of it's time, but that's not a knock. "Three's Company" remains a classic because it IS a snapshot at the sexual revolution of the 70s and 80s. The jokes (especially the ones aimed as Jack's perceived homosexuality coming from Mr. Roper) aren't what we would call acceptable today... and they're not. But erasing humor (and attempts at) like this from our pop culture history only serves to blind new generations as to just how far we've come (baby).
The episodes (just like episode of "All in the Family," "Maude," and "WKRP in Cincinnati," all from Shout! Factory) look a little muddy on my HD TV, as they were shot on analog videotape in the 1970s and 1980s and quite possibly aren't first generation copies. But you can clearly make out the picture in a higher quality than it ever aired on TV in.
My only complaint about the set is the discs in a sleeve set-up for the boxed set. I'd ordered this edition over the more recent 40th anniversary one because the photos of the set showed the discs coming in black plastic cases. What I got was a box filled with cardboard sleeves, each holding two discs. At least this time around, the manufacturers had the foresight to slip the discs into "plastic baggy" protectors before putting the discs into the sleeves. I just wish there had been a packaging set-up where I didn't have to shell out more money for proper cases and spend more time creating artwork for the set.
Definitely worth a look, though, as I feel it stands with "All in the Family" (and it's ilk) as a snapshot of society in the 70s and 80s.
