Great films that sparked a marathon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't planning to buy this set but I had a discount coupon for any one item and found it while browsing on site. It came with a voucher to see Logan, which I really wanted to see. (I've been bored of x-men for a few years and not interested til logan remarked it for me). The set also came with the HD digital versions of which I am a fan. So I bought it discounted and with the perks mentioned above. After purchase, I wondered if I'd ever watch them, being, I thought, more a fan of the beginnings films (first class and days of future past particularly). I went to see Logan right away with the included voucher and loved it. It brought closure for me and as it made mention of random facts from these originals I was suddenly super excited to marathon it through. I did so with family and was amazed at how cool x-men 1 and 2 still are - much better than I remembered (Hadn't seen them in unknown number of years). X-3, I always hated it. I saw it once in the theater and decided I'd never watch it again due to teenage drama and stress. Well I gave it another shot. It wasn't amazing but a lot better than I remember (compared to Apocalypse, it actually is amazing..and I'll never watch it again lol). I skipped the first two scenes, which stressed me out the night before (leading me to shut it off before trying again the next day), and it was actually pretty interesting that way (starts with a different energy). Maybe movies these days are just worse and that made x-3 stand the test of time better, don't know. Anyway, i really enjoyed them. I disregarded a couple lines that i prefer alterations of from first class. Blu-ray picture is very clear and sound is good - much better than the dvd versions I used to own. Haven't watched the HD digital versions. So... if you love X-Men and want to have a marathon, I recommend this order: wolverine origins x-men 1-3 first class the wolverine (fits anywhere after x-3 and before Logan, just watch past end of credits) days of future past (rogue cut) Logan Apparently they're making another x-men movie to play off Apocalypse with the same young Jean Grey. Fab-fab, but if you want a story that sort of starts and ends, this is a good order for now (for me anyway). Apocalypse opens the story where, in my opinion, it didn't need to be opened. Unless this stuff is from the comics, Apocalypse tries way too hard to make connections between characters that shouldn't exist, reuses awesome things from Future Past that should be stand alone and kept awesome, and it has a pointless villain that claims to be the original all-knowing God (naming all sorts of Gods), but is still seeking to be omnipresent...so he's really just some sicko creepy annoying dude that ruins the movie every scene he's in. Just my opinion to skip it for now. Maybe in ten years it will rock. In delayed conclusion, X-men 1-3 bundle is amazing for the price I paid. If I count the value of the included movie voucher I basically paid less than $5 for the set of three. It would have been worth the full price of $22. The marathon went perfect with a rainy week. Highly recommend.

A great trilogy in the X-men universe!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great trilogy if you are a big fan of the X-men movie universe! It's a great set of movies although I had a few minor problems with the Last Stand, it is still enjoyable to own especially for the first two and the price! I would totally recommend it to everyone! Includes digital codes for each movie!

Great price for th trilogy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The X-Men movies helped pave the way for the golden age of comic book movies that we're experiencing now and owning them on blu-ray is a must. The original trilogy has never looked better. My only complaint is with the X2 Blu-Ray: It doesn't have many extras. The other two movies come with all the extras that their DVD counterparts had, but X2 doesn't. I have a 2 disc DVD copy and it has far more extras than the Blu-Ray which only comes with two measly commentary tracks. Besides this, it's a great re-release of the X-Men trilogy on Blu-Ray for a great price.

Great collection!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally decided to add the original trilogy to my collection. Comes with BluRay disks and digital copy code for the trilogy. Movies look and sound great. First movie still holds up for the most part after all these years. Second is still the best in my opinion. Third movie still disappointing and a missed opportunity, but enjoyable enough to watch.

X-cellent Collection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, some of the special effects are a little dated but this is by far the best run of X-men films in a hit and miss franchise. If you were left disappointed by the latest film this set is an excellent alternative and at the price I purchased it, an amazing deal

Had to Add This To My BluRay Collection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No need to review these X-Men movies. There are more than enough critiques on line. However, if you enjoyed the trilogy of movies, then, you are like me and had to add the BluRay versions to your movie collection, especially since HD TVs have come down in prices. This movie set is worthy for anyone's video collection.

X-Men X3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another good, small collection of the early 2000's X-Men movies starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Famke Janssen, etc. All three are worth multiple re-watches, though the X-Men Beginnings trilogy admittedly has more substance and story than these. Still, they're good popcorn fun.
