Child & Family Support Worker at our Male Refuge – 12.5 hours per week

Salary £6,812 per annum

This post is initially for 6 months, but may be extended subject to ongoing funding and the needs of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be based at our male refuge, Norda House, supporting children and young people who have come into refuge. They will perform their own administrative tasks, monitoring and reporting, and work with the resident father and the whole staff team, to ensure the needs of the family are met. This will include liaising with outside organisations, such as arranging nursery / school places, as well as organising outings and activities.

Our aim is to re-build the father and child bond and create positive memories moving forward. Practical assistance and emotional support will then be provided to the family when they are ready to move on to independent living. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working with children / young people and preferably in a domestic abuse / support worker role.

Application packs are available from recruitment@cornwallrefuge.org or on 01872 277814.

The deadline for applications is 10 am on Friday 14th December 2018, with interviews taking place on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th December 2018.
