A Productive Cough

A Productive Cough

American punk rockers Titus Andronicus let rip with this unrestrained musical assortment of pub and classic rock cuts. A Productive Cough features the unmistakable, gravelly slurs of frontman Patrick Stickles and the album almost embodies its title in the first two songs before “Above The Bodega (Local Business)” and “(I’m) Like a Rolling Stone” kick things into Dylan-esque gear. A lighter balance is struck with the beautifully rendered “Crass Tattoo” by Megg Farrell, before Stickles takes the reins and plunges back into euphoric teen rebellion with emphatic drums and brash guitars in “Home Alone”.
