I was nervous getting this because of the price point but I'm sooooooo glad I did!!!! I have had so many issues with the Google assistant on my phone understanding what I'm saying that I was nervous this would have the same problem....it doesn't! It picks up my voice right away even from another room and understands exactly what I'm saying, the first time I say it!!! My son absolutely loves the read along with disney option even though the only book we have is frozen 2.  I will be getting more for the rest of the house!!! :)

A wonderful idea

The google home mini is amazing in so many ways. We use these as Bluetooth speakers for iPads in our child care center and they worry out great! We do a lot of story time and music time with these.

After Mom and Dad have read 30 books total trying to get the kids down during stay at home orders we ask Google Mini to read books that we downloaded to google.  Our family is happy with this product and would tell anyone to put their money into it.

It is a very nice item. Sometimes it do not hear very well. And you must have tht google home and YouTube app. It must stay plugged in at all times and on Wifi. I love it.

The speaker is OK. I'm not complaining about that. I'll give this one star review because of the Feedback option for the device, as well as the device failing to complete routines that are set up. Let me elaborate. I have a routine for when I'm leaving for work. I'll tell Google that “I'm leaving”. Google is supposed to turn off all of my devices. But I have found if one of your devices in the routine is already off, Google will turn it on. That leaves no faith in Google to properly complete my routines. I purchased this device for peace of mind so that if I forgot to turn off any of my devices when I left home, Google would make sure it was done for me. But Google does the exact opposite about 90% of the time! It has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would never recommend this product to anybody! Please buy Alexa. For the past six months I have been trying to give feedback to Google. Google‘s so-called feedback will cut you off in the middle of you trying to express feedback. And I don't know if my Feedback is being looked at or has been seen by anybody. I get absolutely no response for the feedback that I provide. And not for nothing but I don't have to spend my time giving Google feedback. I shouldn't have to. But the fact that I've been giving feedback for six months with not even a response from Google saying that they have received any feedback from me has left me wanting to write a review. Zero stars across-the-board for customer support.. One star for the “AI” intelligence. One star for the responses from Google. Zero stars for the routines that are not completed by Google but are advertised that they can be completed by Google. SMH. If you don't wanna get aggravated every single time you ask Google to start a routine then buy Alexa instead. Don't waste your time trying to deal with Google. It sucks! It sucks! It sucks! Did I mention it sucks?
