Although this is only slightly larger than the 6 Qt, it is perfect for large roasts. I made half a turkey in it and it came out perfect! Great Features

I love this crockpot. I've made so many delicious meals in this already. It's great for a mom on the go. Awesome and easy cookware

I love this slow cooker! It is great for making Indian curries. :) I no longer have to stand over the stove making sure the spices are developing (but not getting burnt) and keep turning the flame up and down. Don't have to worry about bubbling curry going everywhere either! I made butter paneer and everyone loved it. I like the chalkboard and the fact that it comes with chalk. It's fun to write on and it wipes out super easy with a damp cloth. Cleaning the stoneware was also not a problem with soapy hot water. If you're looking for a reliable slow cooker then this is it! Amazing slow cooker with a fun chalkboard

I love this slow cooker. It heats up water in 40 mins to a hot temperature. It cooks food all around even. I love the fact that I was able to write on it with the chalkboard feature and let you know what was in it without someone lifting up the lid. The black color goes great with the appliances that I already have. The knob is so easy to turn and the lid is very lightweight and have a sturdy handle to it. Best Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my black and decker 7 quart slow cooker.  It has a dial that you can turn to set your slow cooker from off to low, high, or warm.  It is a nice large slow cooker that I made a pork shoulder in for pulled pork.  The outside of the slow cooker does warm up enough that it may be too hot to touch and should definitely be kept away from children being able to reach up and touch it.  The absolute best feature is that the outer casing is an actual chalkboard and it even came with a few sticks of chalks.  You can write what you cooked up and your guests can help themselves.  This is great for parties and pot lucks!

Excellent

I have used this crock pot a lot in a short amount of time. Even with almost constant use, it cleans up to spotless perfection between uses. I have not noticed any food sticking to the sides after washing the crockpot, and this is more than enough to feed my family for 2-3 meals at a time. I can set this on low in the morning and have  a meal so tender the meat falls off of the bone. I love that it has a chalkboard finish on the outside too, my twins love writing on the outside of it what is inside it, or at least what they think it should be called! This is an awesome crock pot

What makes this slow cooker/crock pot better than the rest is the chalkboard finish on the outside of the appliance.  It's something I never thought of, but it sure does make things fun.  Now when you use it for a buffet or BBQ you can write directly on the product and identify the contents inside so everyone knows exactly what is in the crock.  I love the black and silver design also, very modern looking and blends into any decor.  The one thing that surprised me is that there is no light that comes on to show the item is in use, but it does have a large silver marker on the dial so it is easy to see which setting it is currently on if you look at it. I make bone marrow broth and I put the time that I put the bones in so that it is so easy  to remember. I also like that should I take this pot filled with something for a party, I won"t have to tell people over and over or write a little note to put in front of the pot.

Easy, Breezy

I've only had one other slow cooker that I've used before so I'm not sure if I didn't really like this one because I'm used to my other one or if I just don't have enough experience with them. With that said, I did enjoy the Black & Decker slow cooker for the most part. I absolutely love the chalkboard surface so you can write what time you started cooking, recipes, or whatever. Setting up the chalkboard surface isn't hard and only took a few minutes of rubbing the edge of a piece of chalk all over the surface. There is no toner and no medium setting so you just have high, low and warm. It doesn't automatically adjust to warm after its been cooking on low for 8 hours which I didn't like. After I set it on low it took it 2 hours to actually heat the food at all which seemed a bit long but in the end it cooked just fine. There was also a burning wire smell for a few hours at first which may be normal but worried me. The outside of the crock pot gets pretty hot so you want to make sure you put everything away from it. I did love the fact that it was 7 quarts because my old one is only 4. All around it worked fine and I did like it for the most part but the down side of it is that it doesn't switch from low to warm automatically like a digital one does. There is also no medium setting (6 hours) and I didn't really like that either. But I would recommend it to friends and family because it did cook my food well and the chalkboard surface on it is a nice perk. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this Crock-Pot a year and a half ago. I loved it until today! I had meat cooking in it and all of a sudden I heard a pop noise. I lifted my liner up and saw a crack in the crock.
