Our Client 

Our client is part of a leading national body that represents Police Officers throughout England and Wales. As a staff association, they influence the development of professional standards, provide advice to Officers and act as a negotiator on all aspects of Officers’ pay, allowances, hours, annual leave and pensions. 

As a membership organisation, our client not only represents the best interests of Police Officers, they also provide a range of member services, events and activities to support and engage with their membership base. 

They are now seeking a Marketing and Events Co-ordinator to join the team and deliver a portfolio of marketing services and events to members of our client’s body on a part time basis, working 22 hours per week over three days. This is initially an 18 month contract, with a view of extending this in the future.

Your Role 

As a Marketing and Events Co-ordinator, you will be developing and delivering a range of services for our client’s members. 

Playing a key role in the development, promotion and organisation of services, you will focus on events and activities throughout Devon and Cornwall to support the organisation, associated charities and external stakeholders. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Organise events, specifically evening charity days and family days 
- Promote the organisation and its services 
- Deliver an engaging in-house magazine and the organisation’s social media accounts 
- Use social media to promote services and events 
- Deliver presentations to Officers on the advantages of membership and what is on offer/currently upcoming 
- Perform general office admin duties, including responding to telephone/email queries and carrying out filing 

About You 

To be considered as a Marketing and Events Co-ordinator, you will need: 

- Demonstratable experience of organising events 
- Experience in delivering presentations to a wide audience 
- The ability to work on your own initiative 
- A full valid driving licence 

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will need to pass the Police vetting process prior to commencing their role. 

Ideal candidates will also have a high level of IT literacy including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard. 

Other organisations may call this role Events Co-ordinator, Events Executive, Marketing Executive, Marketing Co-ordinator, Conference Co-ordinator, Junior Events Manager, Event Organiser, Events Assistant, or Event Management Co-ordinator. 

Please note, this is a part time role working 22 hours per week, three days per week.
