No tools required to fold up, but some parts included (not very important, to support of canopy).

You will need ONLY you hands, and some basic common sense. I had it completely assembled in less than 2 minutes, on my first try.

It is not made for back packing at 24lbs. Great weight for car camping. Folded,  Its AC little awkward to carry for any distance. The bag that is used for protecting, packing, and carrying it helps.  If you have folded and moved  a folding patio lounge cot, that&#39;s about what to expect in weight. Once set up, it quite easy to pick up and move.

what weight can it hold for the second time

You asked about the folded down size; I would say about 11&quot; off the ground as a cot or chair. But if you meant to ask about folded up size, it ends up being about 28&quot; by 32&quot; and about 5&quot; thick. The heavy duty carry bag that come with the unit has ample room for extras like a pillow or a blanket and the included rain fly.

Ease Of Installation

Sets up and tears down in a jiffy and is so much more comfortable than sleeping on a mat.

Awesome tent!

I recently purchased a KAMP-RITE Tent cot. From the marketing description, I was quite impressed with the design and features of the cot. But when it quickly arrived at my door, I scrambled to open it up, to see if reality would meet the words of the ad. To say the least, I was impressed. The unit came well packed so that out of the box there was no damage. Right on top was a simple to follow page of instructions. After a quick glance at the sheet, I had the tent cot fully assembled. I was able to complete the setup in under 2 minutes. What I saw was pure genius. A well made, easy to use product that far exceeded my expectations. Looks like I will be camping with this tent-cot for years.

SO CONVENIENT!!

My husband is in the military and this cot has made training alot more bearable. He is able to sleep more comfortably and it keeps the bugs and rain away. He is a fueler so he is always packing up camp and moving around every night and it's not to heavy!

Sad to see an American product made in China.The color differ in the rainfly.There is a cheap plastic like smell to it too.

Will do what I bought it for but just dissapointed

The price was good compared to other stores.  My son is 11 and loves it.  He has slept in it in his room every night.  He does have a hard time manipulating the clips to secure the tent to the leg rests.  He broke one the 2nd day.  I have to help him take it down and set it up.  It also tips over easy if you get to far toward the foot or the head.  It would be great if there were legs at the head and foot too (not just at the center).   It also tips over easy outside if it windy.  You have to stake it down if you are going to leave the tent cot.

good but some improvements needed

I would give 5 stars except I immediately had to due repairs upon unpacking/initial set up. The stitching on the straps that clip onto the frame immediately started coming apart when clipped and under tension. I reinforced with needle and thread (actually dental floss for added strength)
Six straps. Didn't take me long but disappointed that a cleverly engineered item could fail on such a basic quality issue.

Worth buying but take note of quality control is!
