I think the question was if the lid can be removed form the cooker completely (perhaps for easier wasshing?), not just lifted.  So can the lid be removed completely?

I bought this for my 20 year old son who requested it for Christmas. I said, you know you’re getting old when you’re excited about getting a crock pot. Lol. He used it the first night he got it. Now he can throw ingredients in the crock and keep it in the fridge until morning… then start it before work.  Then, he has a great meal waiting for him at home. It works great and he’s very happy!

Slow cooker for my young adult son

perfect  for dinners that does not require a lot of time in the kitchen. I always use it for soups,bbq and pasta!

Perfect Size

It's cute, and it works well. I like the timer settings and how easy it is to clean. I gave it a 4 star because, to me, the lid really doesn't feel secure.

Crock Pot

I love crockpots. And this writing I have for working crockpots in various sizes. When one of my older crockpots stopped working, I immediately purchased this crockpot figuring it was the perfect size. I liked the idea of the hinged lid. I confirmed upon returning home that ended turn on an alarm for me to select the cook temperature.

I did not use it for two weeks because I had no need to use it. Pulled it out yesterday August 23, put my food in it and turned it on. Hours later I went to check on the seasoning and it wasn't hot. I turned it to high and waited. While it looks beautiful, sitting on my counter, and the lights lit up, nothing happened. I had to pull out my 7 quart to cook my meal for two people. Cannot return this because I no longer have the box. It was a large box, and I have a small kitchen, so I could not keep the box but I was working under the assumption that it was working correctly when I tested it.

There was no luscious smell of cooking food wafting through my home, there was no heat at all coming off of the machine on the top, the bottom and the sides, the pot was still room temperature. It does not seem like the lid seats well on the ceramic pot either. At one point I removed the pot with the power still on set to high and was able to put my hand on the silver inside where the pot is to sit and cook. It wasn't even warm. Extremely unhappy. It took me so long to find one that would be the size I wanted and needed had all the features I wanted and needed, and then it failed miserably.

This is not as described mechanically...it is a fire hazard....DO NOT BUY.
I tried cooking northern beand after they soaked...I had to throw the beans in trash because cooking them in this piece of junk for more than 24 hours they spoiled. All this cooker does is boil lightly...it cooks nothing. In addition to this it smokes and smells like its on fire the whole time with burning/melting wires. It deserves no star and to be taken off the market/website before it burns down someone's home with possible death related results. It looks exactly like the images, but like I warn u in advance...it's a fire hazard. It also arrived with a noticeable scratch on lid as though it was already used and returned before I purchased it? I do not recommend purchase or use of this item.

FIRE HAZARD PEOPLE

This crock pot gets too hot on both 8 and 10 hour (LOW) settings.  My ribs came out so dry the first time I used it.  My second time using the crock pot, I used a recipe that I've done several times in my old Crock Pot, which I broke.  The meat fell apart but was very dry which has never happened.  I have a temperature probe and it showed the meat at 265° at only one and a half hours in to the 10-hour cook. Even just the warm setting maintains at 210°  (Pic shown below on LOW and its 219°).  Threw away box after it got hot so can not exchange as I believe this may be an isolated defect from reading the reviews and reading up from the manufacurer's responses.

received yesterday, opened the box just now and the bottom is dirty and has two cracks ! 
:(  Cant say anything further about the crockpot because like I said,  I literally just removed it from the box.
