Great overall show. Hard to beat the Stanley for watching live music/plays. Simmonds was in good form even though the sparse crowd could have affected his demeanor. If it did it didn't show. Opening act was very entertaining as well. Nice to see some very talented local musicians.

by BigBoobert on 10/27/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkSuperb solid bass and drums, great, animated & bluesy lead singer that smartly doubled on sax when approriate!. Kim, as cool and great as always, was surprisingly energetic which as a garage musician myself, and being the same age, I know to keep the energy level up is really difficult! . They opened the set with a new tune and went right into "Looking' In" then mixed old with new for the entire night. Very pro and solid perfromances by all. Met Kim after the show, talked briefly about old times (St.. John's University in Queens, NYC) 40 Years back. Since then I've seen them over a dozen times including the old Filmore East, the World Trade Center concert et al, and before at B/B'S. He graciously signed a "Looking in" LP (still sealed) and a Raw Sienna LP. Since I have all SB's & Kim's LP's & CD's it was difficult to decide which ones to bring. Their new cd was not yet avalable (November).

Rating: 5 out of 5 Savoy Brown on a Mission
by abraxasash on 10/10/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkOver the years I've seen Savoy Brown dozens of times. This was the best show by far since the 70's . Kim Simmon's and his new band are amazing. He prowled the stage like a man on a mission. The new songs are explosive blues rockers that rival their best of catalog . Don't miss this show !!!!!!!!!

by Scurv on 6/4/11Shank Hall - MilwaukeeAnother outstanding show at Shank Hall. Band played great with a good mix of old and new material. Hope they come back again! Band very personable and hung around afterwards for a nice meet and greet. Only two dissappointments: The vocalist "didn't show up"...pretty big negative there (drops this review to 4-stars) although Kim did well on his vocals. Number two would be there wasn't any T-shirts for sale! Good time and great band, don't miss these guys!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing Savoy Brown
by Anonymous on 4/25/11Showcase Live - FoxboroTerrific powerful show !! Kim displayed his virtuosity on acoustic guitar as well. teir lead singer was in top voice and got the crowd involved. If that wasn't good enough we got to meet the band in the lobby for CD signings and conversations. They are just "regular guys" I wish that they played longer...
