Big Storage Small Price.
I wanted a drive with cloud capabilities. After seeing the prices I decided ordinary external storage would be more practical. It's half the price and twice the storage of a home based cloud. I have tons of files and 4 gig will do me fine. This drive is quiet and about the size of a cigar box. Fits my needs perfectly and it's not in the way. I just plugged it in and forgot about it. Failed out of the box
The drive I received failed out of the box. Initially it showed 4 TB of space available as soon as I copied files to it, the drive became inaccessible. I then got an error saying the parameter is incorrect. I scanned it with the Western digital disc analysis tool, it threw error code 7. I reformatted it multiple times and it continued to fail as soon as I copied files to it. I have ordered these refurbished drives before and they have always worked in the past this is the first one that had issues. The scan also indicated it had multiple bad sectors and blocks.

Grabbed this for my Playstation 4
I’m just going to start out by saying I love this hard drive. It really is compact, easy to use, and silent. I recently started running out of storage space on my already upgraded(2 Terabyte) internal hard drive and this did the trick. Compared to having to dig into the actual system to install, I love the fact that all this takes is the simple micro usb cable that comes with the drive to get you going. All I had to do was plug it into one of my USB ports on my Playstation 4, add it as external storage in settings and done! Only downside is it taking up one usb slot during usage, but in the end it really isn’t much of a big deal. I use a controller charger I bought at best buy as well so I hardly ever use the USB Ports. If you want an easy way to upgrade your storage on your Playstation 4, I certainly recommend this hard drive. So simple to install, yet so much more to gain. I’m now sitting on 6TBs of storage space and will not be needing to delete any games, media, etc...for a very VERY long time or at all! Blazing fast data transfer!
The drive as delivered was well packaged, with only a slight exterior box dimple from rough handling. Within hours of delivery it was being re-formatted, and began it's new life as our RV's new data storage. This drive utilized USB 3.1, so it has incredibly fast data transfer rates, and with luck, the onboard cameras will be able to store dashcam images for the entire year. Small, fast, and simple to use.
