You could take it outdoors but if you left it outside it would rust and be kinda gross. Wouldn't recommend it being left outside.

Not to be left outside in weather, but they ride it in the yard , just would not leave out in rain and cold. Kept indoors.

No reason you could not use it outside. I would not want to leave it out in the rain though. Probably would not ruin the functionality, but the mane and finish would take a hit. It is light enough to be moved to a shed or garage easily if you use it outside. The assembled horse will fit through a front door if you want to take it in and out of the house.

It's very high actually. A 3-5 year old could ride it comfortably. Unless it was a bigger than average child. My niece is three and needs help getting on it. She is average size.

My Grand Daughter is five, she rides it. Weight limit for safety is 60 pounds.

My grandson is 41" tall. Fits him fine. Weight-wise, the horse is under no strain. Depending on growth, I think he will ride it a long time.
