Would recommend!

We traveled to London for a week long trip and were recommended bubble to find care for the kids for an adult birthday evening. Was quick, easy and had many great providers. We had a great experience

Easy to use app

Easy to use app. Dbs checked and experienced sitters. Affordable hourly rates and low fees. I was worried there might be some hidden fees but it was as they said.

Bubble agency have been excellent…

Bubble agency have been excellent in their service. Lovely Valentina and her staff supported me whilst looking for work and always encouraged me and kept in great communication. I found a job through them that I'm very happy with and matched well!

Fees are too much

Have no problems with the use of the app or parents but yes with the fees management
They take a 20%off from the total money you make on every single babysitting you do for the first time with a family
I worked 4,5h and earned/parent paid to the platform £72 the platform fee is a 20%!! So they get to keep £14,40 leaving me with 57,60
I’m sorry but I think it is a complete abuse towards us babysitters and hope they’re not doing same to parents they’re keeping nearly 1 h worked from the total unacceptable plus they advice you before splitting to the job to charge a reasonable price per hour but with this kind of fees is imposible and the only they’ll do with this is not getting very experienced people that will of course charge less

Dear Celia. There are a few things we feel it important to clarify, in response to your review.

1. The platform fee on your first sit with a new family is 20%. After that, it is 3.5%. Bubble is a platform that is designed to work best and reward the exceptional sitters, building long-term relationships with the families who use our services. As opposed to sitters who typically use the platform to sit for a family just once and never again. This is reflected in our fee structure, which we feel strongly is more than fair and appropriate for the services we provide, which include helping sitters meet new families, customer support, insurance on every sit, secure payment and much more. Our fees, compared to other similar marketplace businesses are very low and we've worked hard to keep them as low for all our customers as best as we can. This is reflected in the fact that until our recent update, platform fees had not changed on the platform in six years.

2. The best sitters on Bubble are able to charge higher hourly rates on average. This is because of the way the platform is specifically designed to help them build their profiles and become more and more in demand. Parents value a sitter's experience and track record, and by and large are willing to pay more for it. It is entirely untrue to suggest that the way our platform is built results in the less experienced people getting more of the work - it is the opposite.

3. As has always been the case, sitters on Bubble are entirely free to set their own rates and to decide which jobs they do and do not want to take. We've built a service for sitters that gives them complete flexibility when it comes to which jobs they want to take and for what price. We are proud that Bubble is a platform where sitters earn more per hour than they do elsewhere.

4. There are thousands of incredible sitters on Bubble looking for more work and for the chance to meet new families whom they can build a long-term relationship with. They really value Bubble's role in helping them build their client-base, and boost their future earning potential. We are extremely committed to supporting these sitters, to invest in helping them earn as much as possible through the platform and continuing to provide an ever-improving service for them.

Highly recommended

Very Good!!!
I experienced a small difficulty with my first booking and the team (Oleksandra) was lovely, sort it out straight away and make sure I was happy with the outcome.
Good prices to pick from, you get to see all the sitters profiles and also no hidden fees!!!! I signed up for the 6 months subscription straight away!!!

Lifesaver

Great app, with many experienced nannies available at short notice. Never had a well reviewed nanny from Bubble that wasn't great. Once you get over the fact that you are booking a nanny over app, you will realize the reviews are so much better tham relying on an eg agency (which actually often do very limited referencing)

Love Bubble for all my childcare needs. Whether I'm being organised and booking weeks in advance or panicing with a few hours notice Bubble have always helped. Reassured by the vetting, so I don't have to worry.

EXPLOITATIVE PLATFORM

Allow me to illustrate:
Parents pay £19 per hour, and the sitter receives only £11.25. This arrangement is excessively onerous for both sitters and parents. Initially, Bubble employed a fair system, charging a 10% fee for the first sit and gradually reducing it thereafter. This provided a balanced approach, offering mediation between sitters and parents while ensuring security for both parties. However, the recent increase in fees from 10% to 25% represents a staggering 150% rise, which is unreasonable in any industry, but in the context of childcare, where families often struggle to afford such expenses, it is BRUTAL. At a time when many are grappling with financial challenges, Bubble's lack of support through exorbitant fees is disappointing. As a professional, I attempted to negotiate with them to establish a more reasonable fee structure but encountered poor service and ridiculous response times. I have decided to discontinue my association with Bubble and strongly advise others to explore alternative options. This is clearly a system that takes advantage of its users, imposing unfair and excessive fees without offering adequate benefits. And also exploiting vulnerabilities in the users. The platform prioritises its own gain over the well-being or fair treatment of those who use it.

Bubble is great

Bubble is easy to use, it clearly shows the babysitters available, rating and experience. It was our first time using it and it was brilliant. Highly recommended!

Our go-to babysitting arrangement

This is our go-to booking arrangement for babysitters. Having moved to a new area far from family, it was important to us that we had reliable recommendations on local sitters. We didn't know anyone locally very well when we first needed a babysitter, so it was really reassuring that we could check previous parent feedback, qualifications, etc. Bubble also makes it so easy to book, pay, add expenses/tips that I much prefer it to booking personally and having to deal with cash.

We've used this for over a year now and will continue to do so

A lifesaver for busy parents, easy to use

Bubble has definitely been a lifesaver for us.

We've ended up having a Bubble Plus plan and book regular sits with a wonderful lady who does so well with our little one.

It's easy to use the app, make bookings but also super simple to amend things which is important when plans change so much for us.

We initially had a bad experience with a sitter we booked on Bubble, but we were given a lot of support from their team (real human beings from the start not chatbots!) and it was resolved well.

I just wish I could opt out of marketing push notifications as they are a bit irritating, especially when I book so frequently, that I really don't need the extra nudge to book another sit.

I'm using the app for the last 2 years now. I can say that it changed my life and helped me to carry on as a single mum with twins.
I'm so grateful to this app and the lovely babysitters I met through it.

Our sitter Emily was excellent

Our sitter Emily was excellent. Emily communicated well and put us at ease that all will be well. She managed to get our 8 month old back to sleep when he woke and kept me updated throughout the sit. Thank you Emily! We will book again!

Initially skeptic but eventually at ease

The ease of using the application was easy, with a wide range of profiles and the services provided on it. It was easy to narrow my search and select the right potential candidate. I was Sceptic at first, but the candidate I chose given her detailed profile and the services on offer, I & my other half was made to feel at ease. You won't know until you don't try!

Really positive first experience

Really positive first experience. However the £1.99 fee + 10% 'safety' fee on top was not made very clear at all until sit was booked. That's a small price to pay for peace of mind of course & our sitter was great with no problems whatsoever. But as some product feedback, it would feel a little bit more upfront to have this information stated against the hourly fee price e.g. £15.00 per hour + fees of X.
