Arlo - Pro 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wireless 720p Security Camera System - White

Amazed at the ease of which this system works. Even after reading the reviews I was doubtful I would be able to do it by myself. But, I was! I did call the customer service line, but I realize I really didn’t need them, had I read the directions completely before calling them. The agent was very difficult understand, probably because from a foreign country, but she was patient and helped me get the job done. I think the Problem was that I tried to make it work after only syncing one camera. Once all 4 cameras we’re synced everything worked like a charm.

I purchased the 4 camera Arlo Pro system and then later purchased one more Arlo Pro camera to make up a 5 camera system. This system with it's own router works great and I haven't had any problems at all. It is easy to set up and use with the app that you download to your phone, tablets, etc. I also purchased 5 Arlo Q cameras. You can share devices between accounts and have all 10 cameras show up in your app. Quality video and sound. Lots of adjustments that you can make such as making the recordings longer or to last as long as the sound or motion is detected. Batteries are rechargeable and last a long time (6 months?). This is a top notch system and by adding the plug in Arlo Q you really have a lot of flexibility. I have 10 cameras working in my app using 2 separate accounts. They have a Geofencing mode that allows the system to tell when your cell phones are in the house (so it disarms) or cell phones or other devices are away from your house so it automatically alarms itself. This is a really nice feature.

Over the years I have put in a number of IP cameras with and without PoE. My goal was to setup some for our home with a NVR or record to a Synology device. When I saw this cameras I was skeptical. The idea of not having run cables was something my wife liked ;-). I read through the reviews and the battery life ones and thought I would give the Arlo's a shot. I am so glad I did. Battery life - I have had the cameras running since the last week of November and the battery life is 61%, 89%, 95% and 96%. Today, I moved the Arlo base station to a different location and am hoping that will help the battery on the one camera that is at 61%. The two camera's with the lowest battery % are outside AND it has been COLD. We had -5 Fahrenheit weather the last couple of days and I have had no issues with the cameras. Motion Sensor - I've been really impressed with the lack of false positives the camera will report. When the unit is armed it record when it should. Picture/Sound Quality - The camera records at 720p which is fine for my use. I have now issue being able to see or hear people. I placed one to monitor the front door and I have been able to have conversations with my UPS driver. This feature and the the rechargeable battery where the main reasons for choosing the Pro vs the standard Arlo wireless units. The Arlo app is great to review live and historical video from the camera and Arlo makes it easy to share and download the video. Ease of Use - This is one of the easiest systems to use. The free cloud based DVR service makes it a snap to review your video on your laptop and for security it will log you off of your app when using it on the computer. Local Storage - Arlo requires the use of the Cloud DVR but you can keep local video archives which is great If the internet goes out. To review them you need to eject the USB drive and connect it to your MacBook or PC. Arlo App - The app is intuitive and easy to use. Adding the cameras is a snap and you can rename them to better identify them. From the app you can arm the Arlo system, change video and sound settings, configure motion detection, review the battery life, signal strength back to the base station and more. Overall, I am incredibly happy with the Arlo system and one of my co-workers just picked a two pack up and is really pleased too. The Arlo Pro's rechargeable battery and two way audio are a great feature and for the money they are a good value. A good PoE camera can start at $150 and then you need to configure the NVR or software. Arlo has made this system incredibly easy to use. I included a screenshot from my MacBook and the iPhone app.

These cameras work really well at what they are suppose to do. They send alarms on motion. I wish they would allow a quick button to disarm the push notifications but still record motions for during the day. They do have a quick disarm button but it disarms motion detection totally. You have to go into each camera under armed tab to uncheck send push notifications. Make a simpler way of doing this. I cant think of why anyone would want to turn off recording totally. Anyway, the quality of picture is good, a little slow on verizon network when trying to use the 2 way talk but quick on the wifi. I have 1 gig connection and a wireless ac router. Nest still has them beat on continuous record and video quality albeit on a wired connection however. After 2 weeks of use Im sitting at 54%, 58%, 65% and 71% battery life on 4 cameras at the highest quality setting.

Going on a month and really enjoying the safety of having this ARLO PRO, wire-free security system...Cameras all works good and it is nice to view live from my phone or tablet..Sounds are good, as is the visual..Play back is good, but not in color..live feed is in color . Very easy to hook up and install.

Caretaker for my elderly parents in my home. I can easily check from my phone when they are in motion. An hour to to install whole system. Bought this brand based on Best Buy salesperson's explanation. Exact system I needed. Delete the daily videos saved to their cloud at the end of each day. No wires, rechargeable cameras stick with magnets and are outside in the rain. I can leave the house with less stress.

The Arlo Pro Cameras far exceed my expectations! I was at first turned off by the 720P, having 4) DropCam Pro 1080P cameras in my home already. But the Arlo Pro resolution is comparable to the 1080P cams & offers these benefits: 1- it is completely wireless, 2- cloud monitoring is free up to 5) cameras, 3- they are completely portable, 4- their own hub produces a much more robust connection than WiFi Cameras, 5- the auto IR works perfectly, 6- there are silicon skins to protect the exterior & convert to black 7- there are white & black aluminum weather resistant brackets! 8- the cameras are water resistant for outdoor & indoor use 9- 3-month life using the Li-ion built-in battery! 10- Bright, clear images

Easy setup: Take everything out of the box, connect the base station to power and LAN, download the app or login online, then SYNC the cameras and you're ready to go! Amazing features: Mobile app is easy to use, has pinch to zoom for cameras. Cameras can be mounted basically ANYWHERE, no need to run wires was the biggest benefit, plus you can get creative where you mount them! Love the features of the new Arlo Pro system - benefits are rechargeable batteries, 2-way audio, siren, local storage option. The only negative thing I have encountered is that the 2-way audio might as well be 1-way audio. The cameras capture amazing sound detail, full conversations from a distance - but when you try to talk thru them the sound volume is so low that it is inaudible. You can't turn the output volume up to where you can be heard either. So don't buy these strictly for the 2-way audio feature. All in all, great product -all I need now are more cameras!! I would definitely recommend this product!
