Hi! I'm Allison McNamara, and welcome to the world of MARA. My journey here began on a trip abroad, on the Sea of Marmara where I realized the power in the last four letters of my last name. McNamara translates from Gaelic into "son of the hound of the sea" with mara meaning "sea." And so, this beautiful dream took shape–an algae-infused line of luxe, efficacious skincare. 

It was 2016 when I began formulating, and the trend at the time for skincare was more is more. But I've always held on to the idea that less is more when it comes to just about everything in life, and especially when it comes to great skin. MARA is your chic arsenal of tried-and-true classics. A modern take on the classic, key pillars of skincare. They're the products you invest and re-invest in for years to come because you know they work, they're multi-functional, and they look super stylish in your bathroom.
