This K'nex Pac-man roller coaster building set was a lot of fun to put together. I was going to give it to my nephew, but being an 80s kid myself, I had the sudden urge to keep it and put it together myself. I took out all the parts, and it all had very clear instructions on what went where. It didn't take too long before it was eventually all assembled, but it was a fun thing to build. So whether or not you have kids, you're still going to have fun putting this together. Overall, it was fairly simple, but was a fun project too that took following instructions. I'd recommend this to all ages above 9, but even some exceptions can be made for maybe 5 or 6+ if there is an adult working with them and explaining things. I know my nephew will have fun with this, even if I've already put it together, and he's 6. K'nex makes such great products; so engaging-- You can always expect to have a great time with K'nex.

FUN STUFF -- No need to be a kid to enjoy!

This has to be the coolest of the K'nex EVER!! It was so much fun putting this together. I love all the parts that come with every project they make because it really challenges the person doing it to work on building the machine. I think it encourages them to become future engineers even so I love K'nex and this game is no exception
 Building the PAC Man rollercoaster took some time definitely but it was well worth it when it went sailing down the hill the first time! No better feeling! I would most definitely recommend this product to my friends and family!

Coolest project ever!!

Was excited to receive this product to review. I loved Pac-Man as a kid so anytime I see it I wanna share with the kids. I had my 10 yr old nephew come over and work on it with me. It was a good family fun night. And then the fact that it has motorized parts to show you what you accomplished at the end is fantastic! Great activity for kids who like to build, and like to focus on details. It is really cool looking once it starts going. I will definitely buy more K'Nex sets in the future.

Awesome set

Got this for my son to build with his father. My husband loved building these as a kid and they both enjoyed doing this together. They are not quite finished yet as it does take a little time and commitment to finish it. The pieces are small and people should be careful if they have younger children or pets in the house. Over all great product for kids.

Great toy for kids

The rollercoaster comes with 432 parts some very small.
This was not the easiest to build my daughter needed
 help and she's 11. It takes focus and following directions. 
Over all it's a good activity for kids and we had fun doing it. 
The best part was seeing the roller coaster work!!!

Pac-Man roller coaster challenge!

The following review on the K'NEX PAC-MAN Roller Coaster Building Set is based on personal experience and opinion. 

Hello everyone, words cannot explain how thrilled I am to have the opportunity to construct this Pac-Man themed roller coaster! So yes, I know this set is for my son, however, being that I am an 80's kid and Pac-Man was one of my all-time favorite arcade games, I had to include myself in this project. My son and I are huge fans of the K'nex sets and have assembled a couple of these; what I have found to be the easiest method is a tag team approach. 

First, we separate all the pieces into small containers, otherwise, it's just chaos and takes much longer to find what you're looking for. Next, either I will gather parts or read the instructions to my son as he gathers the pieces for each step. Then, I will proceed to construct a model piece as my son watches; this will provide a guideline for him to refer to as he assembles his parts. During the entire process my son and I are gaining so many valuable experiences.

Building this roller coaster was so cool and the rewards of watching my kiddos smile while the Pac-Man figure rides across the rails eating the ghost, pellets and treats is so enjoying!

So Cool!

When I saw this Pacman K'nex set I think my heart almost stopped from excitement. I grew up with Pac Man in my teen years, and to see it coming back in something that my kids and grandkids were going to love too made me so happy!!!

This is fun for the entire family. You can give it to one child to put together, and they will absolutely love it, yes. Or you can make putting it together a family fun night, and it IS. It's an amazing and fun activity to engage your family in, and then the fact that it has motorized parts to show you what you accomplished at the end is amazing. LOVE IT! 

This takes a few hours to put together. It isn't something that's going to go together and your kids walk away from in a moment's span. I enjoy that there's some mental and creative challenges, some STEM learning, and some hands on thoughtfulness that goes into this toy. 

After building this one I am absolutely addicted. I would like to build an entire little amusement park.

Nostalgic fun modernized into family fun time!

I wasn't sure if my daughters would have interest in this toy but I was pleasantly surprised. It took a few hours (400+ parts) but they built the entire thing in one day and truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend as a gift for a birthday or during the holidays!

My girls - ages 9 & 10 - enjoyed building this!

This K'NEX PAC-MAN Roller Coaster Building Set - 432 Parts - Roller Coaster Toy was great for my son!! He has really enjoyed it. He loved building it. It did take time and patients that's why it would be best for kids ages 9 and up. It's really nice, it actually moves. Looks like a cool roller coaster once it's built all the way!! I would buy this product again and products from this brand again. I would recommend this to anyone with kids that love building stuff. I did receive this item for free to try for being a spark reviewer.

Great for kids 9 and up

I was very happy to see this Pacman rollercoaster because I like anything Pacman. This has a lot of pieces which are made of plastic. I did not notice any chemical smell. The ghosts, power pellets,fruits are all paper which is disappointing because they were tearing while coming of the backing. These really should be laminated, any child will not be able to keep these from bending or tearing. It took one adult over three hours to build this set. Pacman goes around the track by himself. It can go backwards or forward,but when I switched it to backwards Pacman just hangs at the bottom of the coaster and does nothing. It would be cool if the ghosts were behind Pacman on the track. After this is built you just watch Pacman go around and around.

Works great

We spent about four hours building this and trying to get it to work to no avail. The cart doesn't even make it through both loops because the cart catches on the track. Also, there were all sorts of issues trying to get the chain to work smoothly. And on top of all that, the set is missing a piece and has a defective piece. This was our first knex purchase, and it will also be our last. Not impressed in the least.

Waste of time and money
