Amazing lobster served by the nicest people. Prices for whole cooked to go are very reasonable, rolls are competitive with other places in the area. Look forward to returning.
Supposedly with "butter", but it was so scant, I could hardly taste it. The Cole slaw was sugary. No free clam chowder as I just read was given for purchases over $15. Pretty location.
Bob lobster was our first stop and it was very good. It would have been better if it would have been warm lobster instead of cold. The fried Haddock was delicious. And it would have been better if there would have been more lobster on...the roll. Slightly chewy lobster.More
Quick service and tasty lobster sandwich. Price was a little steep for size of sandwich. No issues finding a seat but if it was busier there may have been a wait.
Am surprised by the negative reviews, as we had a great visit. We had to queue just to get into the car park as it was so busy but it was worth it. We did not have the lobster (as we'd already tried some elsewhere...on the trip and the market rate was high at the time) but instead had the shrimp and calamari. Both were cooked very well and the calamari with banana peppers was probably the best I've had. Despite the number of people, we were served quickly and really enjoyed our meal.More
I stopped here with my son who wanted a lobster roll. Although I didn't expect them to be inexpensive, I didn't expect them to be $32.99 (his) and $34.99 (mine)! Prices aren't listed so it's hard to know what they are unless you inquire before...you order. I liked that they had a few different takes on the basic lobster roll but seriously, this is WAY too pricey for what we got - no sides except for a tiny container of cole slaw. The lobster salad itself was fine but not the best I've ever eaten. At those prices we won't be back.More
Please take the menu off the page the prices are from 20 years ago. Even the website does not have prices. It is wrong to be misleading with those prices.
i had a fish sandwich that was lightly battered and cooked to perfection. I am picky about my cole slaw but their's was delicious. My sister got the lobster/corn chowder. She liked it but prefers a creamier base. Not me. I prefer a more brothy...chowder. I got a frozen fish casserole to go and anticipate that ti will be yummy. Thanks for the staff for assisting with the parking, too,More
// The best lobster roll we tried on our road trip through New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine). The lobster roll tasted fine but there is no way it should cost $32 especially since it's on a piece of white bread, not even a real roll. They are definitely taking advantage of tourists. I would no recommend going here.
$32 for a lobster roll is pretty much standard these days. I've been in Maine and all through out the North East, the cheapest I've paid is $29. Great roll, mostly claw meat and stuffed. Also great fries.
Lobster roll was $32 and was about 1/2 what I expected. Reds Eats in Maine is way better! Live and learn! I don’t recommend the lobster roll if you eat here.
This was hands down the best lobster I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly, not tough at all. It was so sweet and tender! The staff even let my kids meet the lobsters and pet them.
I will be eternally indebted to my brother-in-law for pointing me towards Bob Lobster. I’ve been eating lobster rolls up and down the East Coast for the past two decades and have never … NEVER … had one this good. Bob Lobster features the traditional...rolls with a split-top bun, a hint of mayo and a bit of finely chopped celery, among many other offerings, but our group all went down the road less travelled (see the photo of the special menu board). Among our group, we had the Spicy, Avocado and Lemon-Tarragon rolls. They were superb, with seasoning robust but not so much as to overwhelm the tender, sweet chunks of lobster. And there was a lot of that lobster, chunks of which spilled out of my roll until the last couple bites. The sides were very good, as was the clam chowder. All this deliciousness comes at a price. Bob Lobster isn’t white tablecloth fine dining, but it is on the pricey side. That said, the value for the money is excellent. When I retire, I want to live close to Bob Lobster.More
