I aint used it yet, it is part of a new build I am putting together over a summer of hard work. Nice case, got my CPU, checking out Big, fat 370 chipset 1151 socket motherboards and I am going to get some DDR4 memory and I'll be on my way. I don't need to use this yet to know it will be the most powerful, fastest intel processor I have ever bought and am thrilled to have the 8086 celebrating the 40th anniversary of 8086 instruction set, which I know and love!

Very easy to install, and it overclocks with ease. You have to have a pretty beefy cooling solution if you want to get a decent overclock, but if you are considering purchasing this CPU, you already should know that. It is a little more expensive than the 8700K, but in my opinion it is worth the extra cost.

Totally a beast! It can even pair with the 9900K. The hard part is to get it over 5.0 Ghz 'cause it uses a lot of Voltage. I got 5.2 Ghz with 1.35 V, that's a very high value but the temps where ok with my 360 aio

This is an excellent CPU for gaming, virtualization, encoding videos and much much more. Easily overclocked to 5.0GHz with air cooling, but can be increased a little more if needed. Read the tech reviews and research the parts you will be using, as that will help with hardware compatibility and stability of the system. As others have said it is probably not worth an upgrade from the Intel 8700K, but it does compete well with the Intel 9700K and 9900K.

This processor is simply perfect. It has met and exceeded my expectations of what a limited edition piece will do. Gaming is wonderful, as is editing. If you are wanting an i7-8700k, do yourself a favor and get this 8086k before they're gone.
