Found cardboard in the bag :(

Found cardboard in the bag :(
I bake bread on the weekends, so I go through more flour than most people. When I was measuring flour from a 5 lb 365 bag, I discovered a piece of cardboard (pictured). I contacted 365 customer service and they requested information on the flour bag, but I had already thrown it out. Beware of weird cardboard in your flour!

    Great product and reasonable price.

Bag came open, but lucky with almost a full salvageable bag, not a total loss!!

I generally bake my own bread, and once in while I make different cakes or cookies. The flour I prefer if Five Roses, but this one is very good also. I have no complain. It works well for bread, pancakes or any other recipe that uses regular flour. I try to use unbleached flour though the white flour has greater rise in bread, and white flour is definitely preferred for sweet bread.

Flour delivered straight to my door. Same quality as other brands I usually buy. Sometimes the package comes really dusty, meaning it must have broke in transit

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for Canadian Bravetart Devotees
Reviewed in Canada on February 24, 2020
    Hello!

Plain and simple this flour is not what we’re use to up in Canada. That does not make it bad though! The protein content is just lower then Robin Hood regular all purpose flour. Very similar to Gold Medal flour in the states.

For anyone who is familiar with Serious Eats or Stella Parks (Bravetart), will know that some of their recipes do not play well with our high protein all flours. Both parties usually identify when the lower protein is a must, Parks always mentions it.

I would highly recommend trying Stella’s Tate’s Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and Pie Dough recipe (I have had success using Robin Hood for the pie dough) with this flour. Both found on serious eats!

Amazon please please please keep this in stock. Maybe have a line or two in the product description informing people the protein content is lower then traditional all purpose. This would avoid some people being dissatisfied.
