About this movie

The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim's (Domhnall Gleeson) father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can't change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life so he decides to make his world a better place...by getting a girlfriend (Rachel McAdams). But as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds out that his unique gift can't save him from the sorrows and ups and downs that affect all families, everywhere. From filmmaker Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral), About Time is a comedy about love and time travel, which discovers that, in the end, making the most of life may not need time travel at all.

It's nothing that will redefine the romcom as we know it but the simple use of time travel is probably one of the few times I've seen it used well. More as a device to give perception to your present moment. I think the movie is more than the sum of its parts. While Bill Nighy is of course his brilliant self and Rachel McAdams is very lovely, Domhnall Gleeson does an awesome job of being who exactly needs to be in this movie, an ordinary, relatable person. It was better than I expected it to be.

Main actress always seems to play the same character for these over-mushy lovestruck movies. Movie was decent, a little touching. But the main actress will forever be Regina George to me

I was surprised about Rachel McAdams she's really not the focal point even though she's the biggest star in the movie it's mostly about the lead actor in the relationship with his father. It is very well acted and more amusing than funny
