When we arrived, the guy who approached us, said he was the general manager, was extremely rude. I understand that due to COVID big parties cannot be sat, but we had made two separate reservations and accepted we would not be able to share tables or communicate with each other the whole time. However, when we arrived, the manager REFUSED to listen to us and rather just said he cannot seat us over and over again. Again, I understand current regulations, but this is NO WAY to treat customers. Despite the horrible experience in the beginning, the waitress was very friendly and I appreciated how knowledgeable she was on the menu and the wine.

Having grown up on the NOFO, Sparkling Pointe was our go to vineyard for tastings and bottles of wine. My family and I have never hesitated to recommend to family and friends visiting from out of town, and sent many bottles as gifts for people over the years. This afternoon, having received a text from my friend who lives in western Suffolk saying that she and her mother were visiting Sparkling Pointe in my neck of the words, I felt it was necessary to stop by to say a quick “hello.” After all, it wasn’t everyday that she came all the way out this way! However, upon arriving in the parking lot, the attendant informed me that it was not possible to let me in to say hi to my friend. I even stated that I wasn’t planning to stay, just wanted to say a quick hello to her and her mother on my drive home from a day in Greenport. Nope, not allowed. After having been a patron in the past, I will now think twice before going to Sparkling Pointe in the future, especially with all the other fabulous wineries on the NOFO. (Sherwood House and Bedell are awesome!)

For our 25th Wedding Anniversary (Covid restricted) we booked a wine tour including an anticipated stop at Sparkling Pointe. Our cab driver dropped us off at the front on a 90 degree day and we appreciated the A/C as we entered with masks on. We were greeted, asked if we had a reservation, we did, and were instructed to go outside to wait and “Mike” (I forget the actual name) would be with us.
Once outside we read a notice which said to “text arrivals and wait in your car”, not possible for us. We waited a few minutes and eventually “Mike” appeared to tell us we would have to wait in our car since we were 20 minutes early. Meanwhile the place was notably empty.
I explained that we were dropped off by our driver to no avail. When told we would have to wait outside (where there was no shade) we told ‘’Mike” to cancel our reservation. We called our cab and returned to our hotel where we enjoyed a cold bottle of Champagne.
Having visited Kontokosta Vineyard (great experience) as our first stop, the greeting at Sparkling Pointe was a stark departure from the welcome we felt. In these times of Covid restricted business we tip bigger and appreciate the services that can operate and welcome customers. I realize that businesses are scrambling to adapt but the owners of Sparkling Pointe should re-evaluate their procedures. We felt the absolute opposite of welcomed.

My wife and I arrived to a gorgeous building in a beautiful setting. We were excited to get started here. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in, the din of the interior was the sound of 30 conversations with no noise dampening at all. The interior of the building was beautiful so I do want to compliment that, but we had to almost shout at each other across the table because every conversation was bouncing off those beautiful walls. We don't normally mind loud spaces, like sports bars and sporting events, but when we think of a winery we think of quiet and relaxing. Not here.
The server that we had was really good. He had a lot of knowledge and guided us through the menu. Bravo to him.
My wife and I ordered both the flagship flight and the prestige flight because we kept hearing how this is one of the best wineries in NOFO. Unfortunately, 5 of the 6 tasted almost the same with only the Reserve Blanc de Blancs standing out as something unique. Both my wife and I consider ourselves semi-experienced wine drinkers and we will try anything, but these wines were completely non-descript to us.
Maybe it was just us regarding the wine, so please don't think the rating is based on that. The rating is based on the fact that the words "What did you say?" was what we remember most from our visit.

A vineyard that only does sparkling wine and it didn't disappoint one bit! Beautiful interior and nicely appointed tables and great atmosphere. Our host/server was terrific - personable and extremely knowledgeable.
We were served a complimentary glass to begin as well as one later on. We did the sparkling wine and chocolate pairing which was wonderful! Highly recommend it. I learned so much in the tastings.
The wines were great and we plan on ordering a number of them. Will definitely return next year.

As I arrived in the entrance/driveway I was met by the GM who was extremely rude. I could not believe he would treat customers the way he did. If it wasn’t for me being a part of a birthday celebration I would have left in a heart beat. Luckily, our server was excellent.

We highly recommend a visit to Sparkling Point. The place was immaculate and took into account the safety of their patrons like no other place could have done. The wine, food and professional staff was outstanding. Our server, Nate and the owner Tom, treated us like VIPs. Thanks for a great wine experience!

My family came here to celebrate my sister’s 21st birthday. We ordered the flagship flight and a cheese platter. We had Stanton as our server; he gave us two extra types of wine in our tasting, and sent my sister home with a complimentary flute. Good wine, good cheese, beautiful view of the vineyard, sensible safety precautions due to the pandemic, and excellent service.

I celebrated my birthday here yesterday. It was an unseasonably warm November afternoon. We reserved a table and ordered a cheese board to enjoy with the chocolate paired flight tastings. It was a beautiful afternoon with a table on the patio overlooking the vineyard. The sparking wines were bubbly and delicious paired with chocolates to enhance the taste.

I had a retirement brunch here for my mom and everything was excellent. We got off to a late start because a few guests were running behind. However, they let us stay for our full 2+ hours. The sparkling wines were great and we loved the tour after our brunch. The scenery was beautiful and the service was personal and top notch. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to gather and enjoy the day.

The expressway is best since Sparkling Point is on the North Fork. It's about 25 minutes past Riverhead on the divided highway.
