So I used to use this hair dye a lottt years ago. Haven’t colored my hair in a while and wanted to do so due to some gray I had in my dark hair now. I always really liked this one so I decided to use it again. This did not cover grays AT ALL. Really disappointed :( the only good part is it does make your hair soft but didn’t do what it’s supposed to do.

Since starting the use of this excellent product, my hair looks much better. (Before Olia, I had used the more well-known, brand-name, hair-damaging coloring kits that have been on the market forever, it seems.) I'm happy that, for a change, I tried Olia and will be a customer for life.
Not the best...

I tried this hair dye after not being able to afford anything other than THE cheapest hair dye on the market for the last 2 years, I grabbed this one cause it looked awesome and I wanted to see if it would be a nicer product than the Revlon I’ve been using. I was very hopeful as it was triple the price of the Revlon. (No more than $20, still cheap!) I was very disappointed, I bought soft black and have had my hair that color for the last 2 years. I don’t like a blueish black so I usually choose soft black. Day after and my hair is very brown still, it’s dark brown not black. I hate the way it looks in the sun! The dye also made my hair the day after very oily and stringy, FLAT. Immediately after it was very soft and shiny but now it’s stringy and oily and I hate the color! Plus it burned my scalp and was very itchy. It also washed out a dirty green color rather than black and I had never seen that before. I dislike it so much I’m going to go back to the cheap stuff! I like the color and finish of the Revlon hair dye much better. It never burns my scalp and is reliable and consistent on the colors!!

this hair dye was the worst i have ever used. to begin, the liquid was very watery compared to the other brands i have used. second, i left this product in 10 minutes longer than recommended and there’s PATCHES all over my hair? you can tell the product didn’t absorb. don’t recommend, i would look into another hair dye before purchasing this one.

It's easy to apply, has excellent gray coverage, and brings such shine to my hair. It immediately softened my face with just a touch of pink. Reminds me of a pink champagne. I always used champagne in the past. I love the pink touch and other products made the pink way too dark and too obvious. I'm going to purchase this and mix it with the rose gold quartz because both colors are beautiful and the quartz seems a bit darker than I like, but mixing it with the medium rose gold just for kicks. At any rate, it's my favorite product ever!

I've been using 5.0 medium brown for years. Covers greys great and leaves hair soft, shiny and healthy looking. It does fade after a few weeks or so, depending on sun exposure and frequency of hair washing, but much more affordable for when you need a quick touchup, and a great time saving product for those who don't prefer to spend hours at a salon.
Doesn't last, no gray coverage

Made my hair feel softer than before I used it, but the positives end there. The color was misrepresented, the medium brown had a lot of red in it. No gray coverage whatsoever and the color faded super fast. I’ve used Demi hair dyes that lasted longer.

Not only does this dye cover my grey, it leaves my hair with a beautiful shine. Many dyes can leave your hair looking dull over time but not this one! The color is true to the box in natural light.

Used this Sept. 15th, and almost two months later it's completely washed out. Looked GREAT the first 2-3 weeks, hair was shiny, and the product didn't have the standard "hair dye stench".

I colored my hair last night using Olia permanent hair color for the 1st time, shade 7.0 Dark Blonde. I've colored my hair 25+ years, mostly at home, by myself, using a wide variety of drug store hair color kits, and I've also used professional salon dyes mixed myself quite often, so I'm no stranger to DIY home hair coloring. I used to have it colored at a salon for many years starting out before becoming confident in my ability to do it at home myself after years of observing and asking questions, so I'm familiar with various products and tools to use for shade selection. I'm also aware of the many ways results vary due to individual factors the manufacturer has no control over (i.e. natural hair color, thickness, texture, porosity, damage level and former products used and when) knock wood, but in those 25+ yrs, I've only had 1 bad experience with a product producing a color drastically different from the color it was shown on the shade charts, swatches and example photos on the company's website, until now. I spent @ least 2 weeks searching for a new product that would be less damaging to my somewhat dry, often frizzy hair that's starting to show the signs of my age at 54, such as thinning, becoming drier and the fuzz less manageable and GREYING, lots. So after pouring over reviews, reading ingredient lists and descriptions of over 2 dozen products, then researching the handful of dyes I narrowed my choices down to, looking at tons of photos of results for the shades I was considering, both on professional models, ai simulations/self try-ons, and extensively reviewed pics and videos of real people showing real results using exact same product and shade I was considering. I ended up choosing Olia due to the numerous reports of it being non-damaging, ammonia free and adding shine and vibrancy to dull hair. My normal color is medium natural/golden blonde, my natural hair color is a darker, med-dark blonde between ash and dishwater that's similar to the shade this product was supposed to be except a bit warmer for a natural blonde 1-2 shades darker than my hair was already, as shown on the charts. With the issues my aging hair was starting to show, I wanted to ease back into my natural shade(ish) using a color that would blend with greys when it faded, smooth hair shafts but also produce a slightly lighter, warmer multi-dimensional results, which this seemed to match perfectly. After following the directions to the letter, I'll start with the positives: the reviews saying it had a pleasant smelling, was non-damaging to hair, didn't irritate scalp, and praising the shine and vibrancy it added to hair are spot on. I'm quite happy with the way my hair feels after coloring and it definitely has more shine and less frizz than it did before, and it did an excellent job of covering my considerable greys and smoothing the coarse hair shaft grey hair has a bit as well. If it weren't for the HUGE variation in the color shown on the box when used on hair similar to my color dyed and natural vs. the completely different color it actually came out, which is nothing at all like any results depicted anywhere else I'd examined in depth, I'd give Olia 4/5 stars at this point. Unfortunately, despite the positives, my color result was extremely bad, nothing at all like as represented, and extremely upsetting and disheartening. My medium golden/natural long blonde hair is no longer blonde, at all. In fact, the result was much closer to a medium, cool/ash brunette than any shade of blonde has ever been and the hue is just terrible, it covered my warm, golden tone with a greyish green liverish tint that isn't a color anyone would ever choose on purpose. Around my temples and roots, it did produce a few very small patches of a nice(ish) golden brown that is still medium brown, not blonde, but mostly it's a dismal, unnatural color that's at least 2-3 shades darker than shown on the box and nowhere close to the same hue as it was supposed to be. I'm at a loss for ways to correct it without damaging my hair, but so far nothing seems to be viable - I truly hate this color so much I'm considering bleaching, which I haven't been willing to do since I had a very bad experience in my early 20s that caused so much damaged I sported an early 80s circa Olivia Newton short short bob and spent 4 years nursing it back to health. Despite there being far better lightening products available now, I don't want to go there and add to my hair concerns with damage from another harsh product, and hope to find a lighter shade that will lift it at least to the dark blonde it was supposed to be instead of medium, ashy mouse brown, ugh.

I’ve been using Garnier dyes for 11 years and never had an issue. Decided to try Garnier Olia and want to shave my head. There is now a greasy feeling to my hair I can’t get rid of no matter how much I wash it. The color is horrible. “Dark Garnet” came out Crayola Red, in a very splotchy fashion even though I absolutely soaked my head in dye. The dye was very liquid (more so than any other I have ever used) and dripped out of my hair while it was setting, which could be part of the issue.

It dyed my scalp but not my hair in the gray resistant areas - like around my temple. I know it wasn’t my application because my scalp is dyed in that area. If you have gray resistant areas- this isn’t going to be the best option for you.
