[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never tried a food chopper before, and this KitchenAid exceeded my expectations. I find it to be a game changer in the kitchen. Normally I spend a lot of time chopping up all of my vegetables, and I find that it gets very tedious. With this machine, you only need to cut your veggies up into 1-inch sized pieces, and the chopper takes care of the rest. When I used this to chop onions, I found that you only need to press the pulse button a few times in order to get the onions to be a nice, diced size. If you press the pulse button too many times or hold it down too long, your veggies (or whatever else you are chopping) will become very fine. As with anything, experimenting and using it over time will help you learn how to master the right chop for whatever you are preparing. One con that I found with this chopper is that I had no idea how to take the lid off. My husband is an engineer, and he even had trouble. The directions made it seem as if you have to push down on the lid and turn, when you actually do not push down at all. I was finally able to understand how to remove the lid after looking up a video online. Now that I know how to remove it, it is very easy. I would definitely recommend this chopper for anyone looking to speed up their time prepping in the kitchen.

A Game Changer in the Kitchen

It is very neat, so easy to use and allows you to have good control of the consistency of the mixes. It has the option of chopping or doing a purée, so that lets us do salad dressings/mixes and dips easily. It’s also very quiet and absolutely love that it is a 5-cup processor because we are able to make things one-time and not have to do batches. We have the 3-cup processor but for a large gathering of 16-20 people, this 5-cup size is just what we needed. I feel like every family should have this gadget in their kitchen because it makes preparing food more pleasant and an enjoyable experience.

I bought this processor a month ago and I have used it almost everyday.  It cut my meal prepping  time significantly!! This machine is fast, easy to clean and much quieter than my old one that  I barely used. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I have found a new best friend!!

SUPERB!!

It comes with the blades but also a whisking tool, which is a nice touch. All of it is dishwasher safe (other than the base) which is super convenient. To open, the lid twists a little to the left as does the base to remove it. You push a button on the lid to control how much chopping you do which was easy. I chopped up a potato just to play around with this, and I cut it into 3 chunks and the chopper very quickly turned it into almost a hash brown consistency. It was so easy. KitchenAid makes extremely high quality products that last years and I am very excited to add this one to my collection!

Easy to use, chops quick and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chopper is small but extremely effective.  I found myself using it to chop up onions and garlic for meatballs quickly.  I also used it to chop up fresh herbs and it was extremely effective.  I have a very large food processor that is a pain to clean, but this 5 cup chopper cleans up in a breeze! I greatly appreciate that the blade and whipping attachment are stored in the cup.  When I want to use it, all of the pieces are there and I don't have to hunt around in a cabinet for the blades.  I think this chopper is small enough to be stored on the counter top, and could be used for everyday cooking.  The cord also wraps around the base so it can be stored easily in a cabinet.  My only negative opinion is how hard the lid is to open when it is new and you are unsure where to hold when twisting.

Small but effective!

It has 2 speeds and can pulse for coarse or fine results depending on your needs.  The drizzle basin in the lid top makes it simple to add liquids or oils to produce smooth and creamy results.  With so many uses, this will be an appliance you reach for again and again.  I love that it is small for storage, has cord wrap storage, and takes up minimal space on the countertop.  The blades, lid, whisking tool, and chopper cup are dishwasher safe for quick and easy cleaning.  I also appreciate the incorporated pour spout on the chopper cup, as it reduces mess and makes it easy to transfer contents.  I look forward to using this small powerhouse chopper often!

So convenient and efficient!

I read the reviews and decided to buy this anyway.  I'm glad I did! This is great!  I just gather that people just really don't read instructions.  I didn't have any issues with using this.  It's a great size for me because I really don't need a big processor but need something bigger than a 1 or 2 cup. I've made salsa,  pesto, chopped onions,  etc.  I like using the handle to operate, it's convenient to me. I hand wash this so I can't speak on dishwasher use but I'd recommend this.
