Banks 7 Island Blend Golden Rum gets its backbone from Trinidad, its complexity from Jamaica, its zest from Guyana, its spice from Barbados, and its unique exotic aroma and exceptionally long finish from Javanese rum Batavia Arrack. The high altitude sugar cane yields from Guatemala give Banks® 7 Island Blend Golden Rum its aromas of toasted nuts, and Panama adds a classic dry flavor profile with a hint of wood. As a result Banks 7 Island Blend Golden Rum is a complex, full flavored blend that has a drier profile than most golden rums, allowing it to stand out above anything in the category.
Often referred to as a Gold Rum, an Aged Rum is one that has been aged in barrels, often Ex-Bourbon or White Oak before bottling. As the Rum continues to age, it draws more and more color and flavor from the wood, adding both body and complexity to the finished product. Aged Rums can be sipped neat or added to cocktails. They fall somewhere in between White and Dark Rums in terms of their respective strength of flavor.
