About

PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.

In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.

    It Was Amazing!

by LadyKc on 2/11/24Bruton Theatre - Dallas

This was my first time at this theater. Seating wise it was ok. Parking was ok. Sound quality started off real shaky but made a turnaround before PJ came on the stage. I thoroughly enjoyed his concert. He’s a phenomenal entertainer.

    I absolutely LOVE PJ Morton!

by FTWMusicLover on 11/30/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

PJ Morton's music is soul stirring and the show is so uplifting. I loved the band, the live music. The entire audience was in love too as seen by the crowd participation in the show. Singing and dancing in the aisles...it's a family gathering...a party of joy! I'm already looking forward to the next time I can see him perform live.

    What a performance!

by JB on 11/29/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

PJ Morton is an instrumental delight! His musicians, background singers, and his songs that resonate with my generation all together make it awesome. There were productions issues, specifically the sound. It was clear a sound check was not done prior to starting the show. Once it got going it was great!

    Great but short show

by A fan on 11/29/23Bruton Theatre - Dallas

It started off rocky. No host so when the opening act preformed the microphones weren’t on 😬 But Pj Morton still gave a fantastic show. Just wish it was longer.
