Hi Wayne, cleaning ashes out of the grill is simple. The cooking grids and flame broiler lift out with ease. Then it's a case of scooping the ash out of the barrel and burn pot.

It&#39;s very simple to remove ashes. Simply remove grates and lift the baffle up out of the way. You get several cooks before you need to clean ashes. I use Pit Boss Competition Blend pellets

Depends on a lot of things, cooking temperature, ambient temperature, type of pellets, how often you open the grill. I would guess on average about 1 pound of pellets per hour.

I bought a 40 lb bag of pellets with the grill. I put some in the hopper but didn&#39;t fill it, in order to burn off any oils, etc. I cranked it up on high, and burned it off for about an hour. It reached just a little over 500 degrees and that did use a fair amount of pellets. I can&#39;t give you exact amounts, sorry. I then filled the hopper up and I have used it 3 times for about 9 hours total. Most of that time was on the smoke setting, then I bump it up to 200 degrees just to get my meat to the internal temperature, I&#39;m looking for. After approx. 9 hours, the hopper is about 2/3 of the way full, and I still have 18 lbs of pellets in the bag which should fill the hopper again. I&#39;m sorry I can&#39;t be more exact, I hope this gives you some idea.

Easy to clean out, and shockingly few ashes.  I checked after about 30 lbs of pellets- about 30 hours of smoking/grilling - and there was barely a handful.  I expected the whole base of the grill to be full of them.  With pellets, you pretty much just get the &quot;meat&quot; of the wood, and not the residual you would with logs/chips/etc that doesn&#39;t turn in to smoke.  All of the flavor, none of the mess.

At a low setting, the 700FB will burn the pellets at a rate of 1 pound per hour.

Depends.  I burned approx. 4-5lbs in 12hrs smoking a pork shoulder but that was low heat.

Yes, varies with cook temp and weather conditions- but the 1 lb/ hour someone else mentioned seems about right on average.

It usually stays with 10 degrees of the set temp.  It will go higher than the set temp and then fall back and stay really close and constant.

I guess you could say the lowest &quot;smoke&quot; setting is cold smoke.  It usually is about 150-160 depending on the wind in area of grill.

It does and it makes all the difference in the world

Mine hold temp pretty well. So far plus or minus around 5 or 6 degrees once it gets to the set temperature. I get good smoke at the smoke setting not overpowering but good smoke flavor.

So far two weeks in and no complaints. I have a PB700FB pretty simple smoker,easy to use. Ive done ribs,chicken,steak and some beef jerky and it has all came out great. Happy Smoker!
