Good little dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The dishwasher was something that I wanted bit didn't need right away. The old one worked but it was loud, kind of a whiteish yellow color and had a broken soap dispenser. It's nail in the coffin was the price of a newer seal and the soap door. Yikes!!! It got the job done but wasn't great to look at or listen to. This one was chosen due to features, fit and finish, and a clean look. A couple of things for me, first I had it set to the defaults with no heated dry. This left things quite wet. I added JetDry and turned on the heated dry setting and that made a huge difference. So it's got like a solid B for drying it's not the best super dry everything dishwasher, but up here in this altitude it's got decent drying preformance that I can live with. It gets D with heated dry off and no JetDry. It's better than those cheep contractor grade washers you find everywhere, where water just dripps off everything regardless of the heated dry setting it not. Plastic cups or items with a little indent are somewhat wet on the top where the indent is but mostly everything is pretty dry. It doesn't dump out water everywhere when empied. Next is that it does do a great job at washing dishes clean. It doesn't leave particles on things and the auto setting does great. Washing preformance is an A. It's faster than some of the early HE dishwashers. It's not done in 15 minutes but it doesn't run for hours and hours either. Wash time is a good A Seams to have a good balance programmed in. The controls on the top give it a clean look. The speaker is a little quiet when it's done but it has a nice little jingle haha. The tub is plastic with a stainless door, so you could upgrade to a stainless washer all though out. Having stainless on the door inside is a nice touch though. Thee plastic isn't noticeable inside but it is nice price point built in that aspect. It's also quiet. I guess that's all in your perspective though. They have quieter models but this one is pretty quiet. Even on the blast your dishes clean mode it's pretty tame, noticable but not obnoxious. It's not in the "is it even running" category when standing next to it but it's not next room over can hear it clank though the wash cycle noisy. For that I'd give it a B+ Again I'm pretty happy with that. The rack layout is also nice. It fits things in together tightly and you don't have to shuffle stuff around. It has an adjustable top shelf that you can pull out and lower or raise (two settings total) and it cleans well. The door is a little thin, the outside door does bend a little in and spings back if you wipe it down. in that aspect I think they could have added a little more to the door thickness to give it a better premium feel. Door thickness is a C. I'd worry about it with kids. Overall it's a good little product, it has it's built to a price things about it, but it's above your basic no frills dish washer with some experimenting gets good results. I'd buy it again but I might spend a little more on the next model up next time. It's good but it doesn't hold the same feel to it as the other products I purchased. It's still overall an improvement and I'm happy with it at the price I got it at.

Great Price/Performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wasn't really planning on purchasing any new appliances yet, but the recent Samsung sale, along with the bundle discounts & rebates made me reconsider.... I ended up purchasing a complete Kitchen!!!! The Dishwasher looks great & performs perfectly. The racks are a bit different from the preious dishwasher so it'll take a little while to figure the new loading pattern. I hope that I'm as happy with all my new Samsumg appliances as I've been with the other Samsung products I currently own...

Substance Over Style
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually we buy things for style over substance, especially when it comes to appliances. However, I believe the opposite is the case here. I've never had dishes more clean in the five dishwashers I've had over the years. It does an amazing job with little to no pre washing. The issue is that the stainless steel outside needs more washing than the dishes sometimes. Every little spot of water will show up and basic cleaning actually leaves streaks. Only special stainless steel cleaner wipes (which can be quite expensive) help with cleaning the outside panel which feels very flimsy and thin. Other than that, I really do love this machine. It's super quiet (I a totally asked what was that soft, faint humming noise was coming from. I was standing right next to the machine and didn't realize it was even on. The inside is very spacious and fits most of our dishes and pots and pans (this was one of our biggest complaints of our old washers) It does tend to take a bit longer than my other machines but well worth the wait to have perfectly clear dishes with no spots on them.

Takes a learning curve, but it works!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Top Control Washer with Stainless Steel door definitely does the job I bought it to do. I'll say I originally was a bit concerned as it took a bit of time for it to clean dishes th way they needed --- and also the internal shelves feel a bit flimsy. Despite all of this, the dishwasher is SOO quiet! I sometimes forget that it is even running, which is a big deal for me as most dishwashers I've had have been very loud and don't even clean well. There is definitely a learning curve with this dishwasher though ---- you will figure out the right detergent and settings to clean your dishes right and when you do, it is smooth sailing from there. I don't really even rinse my dishes anymore before I put them in , yet for the most part they are all clean and dry when I take them out.My favorite feature is the heated dry --- I have openeded it when it was drying and man it was HOT and the dishes were clean and steamy! Secondly, my other favorite feature is the top controls. I have three kids and two of them love to push buttons everywhere, and with our last dishwasher, they did it so much, it was frustrating. Well, not anymore! With the Top Control Dishwasher, all controls are unseen during cleaning so that problem in my home is no more. In considering that people realize there is a learning curve in the beginning, I would highly recommend the Samsung Top Control Dishwasher for its reliability and even more affordability!

CLEANED EVERYTHING!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yesterday I used the heavy wash cycle for the first time. I have had my dishwasher for about 2 week now. I was very impressed. I had let my dishes sit a day or so with spaghetti, blueberry smoothies and other caked on mess in order to put the heavy cycle to the test. Well Samsung, you passed with flying colors. All of the dishes came out spotless and clean. Not that I doubted that it would clean well, but I did think the spaghetti would have left some staining in the Tupperware bowl but it didn't. AMAZING! See my videos of before and after the wash. Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had the dishwasher for about three weeks and it cleans dishes very well. I tend to still hand wash or rinse dishes before putting them in the washer but I run it on the "quick cycle". I haven't had the issues with the dishes not being dry like other's have mentioned but I do use rinse aid. The buttons are very sensitive so even the lightest touch may turn it on. Runs pretty quiet but our previous dishwasher was about 30 years old. Overall, this is a plastic dishwasher not stainless steel. It is very light but it is reinforced with stainless steel plate on the inside of the door. I think it is a good compromise between the cost of an all steel unit. Still getting used to the top rack for my glasses. They seem to not fit on the rack very well. I don't see this as a defect, it is just the way it works (or doesn't work) with my particular glasses. The accessories on the rack for holding wine glasses and other stuff are more sturdy than cheaper models that I looked at; however, I have found them pretty useless. Maybe if I have a lot of people over to drink wine, that might change. Again. not a negative (actually, they seem much better than other brands I looked at) but just find unnecessary for my needs. Fortunately, they come off and on.

Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have an end of cycle light that stays on indicating your dishes are done (like until you open it)? I have read the manual and there is a "clean" light, but does it stay on once it is finished?
Asked by hkyman16.
- A:Answer hkyman16, when the cycle completes the Clean button will light up and the unit will chime then for energy efficiency the entire unit will power down till you press the power button and then the last cycle will light up that was completed. ^Heath

Q: QuestionI just got my dishwasher. The outside door stainless steal is flimsy. Is it suppose to be glued to the door or is this normal . if you push on it it's not solid.
Asked by 1stchoice.
- A:Answer Thanks so much for asking! The dishwasher has some flexibility to allow for it to expand and contract with the amount of heat used during some cycles. ^Jecca
