If you do work or play games that require accurate mouse movement, you can't go wrong with this. Also, the buttons are easy to press but not so easy you accidentally press them, which is a problem I've had with just about every mouse I've ever used.his mouse definitely enhanced my gaming experience. I typically play on 400 DPI in CS:GO and 800+ DPI in other games. The ability for you to switch DPI with the buttons on top makes the Elite model worth it. The Razer Synapse software makes customization options easy. Precise. 2 function keys are enough for everyday use and non-professional gaming and are large enough to feel which button I'm pressing. I do not usually change the dpi so I'm considering how to make use of the two buttons under the wheel.After Windows picks up and installs mouse it will have software to get you started customizing the way you want it.The wheel on mouse makes it a pleasure on how smooth it rolls on a mouse pad.I recommend this great performing mouse to anyone.

Great for gaming or everyday use!!!!!

The Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse arrived well packaged by shipper. The mouse is made of a higher standard grade matte plastic and rubber on the side grips. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. It comes with a plug and play feature, with the option to download the Razor Synapse software. Once the software is downloaded this allows the user to create and enjoy a personal customized bright RGB (red, green, blue) LED lighting effect. The software also includes other drivers for different applications. It has an optical sensor switch design which allows 10,000 dpi (dots per inch), giving you very precise control with on the fly sensitivity buttons behind the scroll wheel. The braided cord is 7 ft in length and incredibly light, flexible and it doesn't snag or drag like a rubber corded mouse. It is designed for a right handed gamer with a medium sized hand, with a much lighter and lower profile than the Logitech G700s wireless gaming mouse I have been using for years. The arch on the mouse could be a bit taller for my hand grip, but for the most part size it is fine and fits well. It seems to be comfortable when using for long gaming sessions, absolutely no hand fatigue, but can be slightly sweaty. It glides very smooth over the xtrac-ripper mouse pad. The two thumb buttons are easy to reach with a solid click you won't accidentally trigger. The primary button switch on the left has a more springy feel and the click is a bit more louder than the button on the right. The scroll wheel is textured rubber with RGB lighting on the side with notched scroll only, when pressed it is just a bit spongy. I think two more thumb buttons on the mouse and an option for smooth scroll would have been a nice feature to have. It is a perfect mid price range gaming mouse for FPS (frames per minute) casual or RTS (real time strategy) games, but might lack the keys for macro heavy games. Overall the Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse holds up to it's name and performs as described.

Buttons can be reprogrammed in Razer Synapse and can be bound to particular games. Settings are saved in the cloud as long as you have an internet connection.
You can sync the lighting effects with other Razer peripherals. 
The mouse is very responsive and accurate with smooth scrolling.
The Elite has a low profile and a classic scooped body. It felt comfortable in my hand. My hands are small and I didn't have a problem using it.
You can also use this mouse for everyday computing and browsing when not gaming.
The Razer website has a workshop, community, and tech support plus free limited games you can download.
You can register your products through Razer Synapse and view your warranty status there but if you register it via the website you will not be able to view it through Synapse. Not sure why they decided to do it that way because it's a pain having to go to the website and log into your account to view it.

Programmable Lightweight Mouse

Well, I recently received the Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse through the Spark Reviewer program and let me say this….IT IS AMAZING!!! I have used this 2 weeks now. It has been fun using the Elite. This is e Sports ready. This mouse's design is similar to the model before it. This is really good because it is already familiar to most players. Once in hand, you notice an improved feeling, still very comfortable, well constructed, better quality and a few changes over previous one. First a gaming-grade tactile scroll wheel, the left and right click buttons, 2 buttons on the left side and 2 more buttons on the top before the scroll wheel for easy access to your fingertips. The 2 buttons which can be reprogrammed in Razer Synapse. The Razer Synapse is free software that can be downloaded so that you access every the setting and edit every feature that this mouse offers.

The Deathadder Elite is very smooth and wait for it. 16, 000 D.P.I. accuracy, the sensor on this mouse is serious, very. Again with 16,000 D.P.I. you shouldn't be missing any targets. The sensor is very smooth.

With the Razor Synapse software, you can control the LED lighting effects setting on the Elite, from one color selection to random to off. So the big YES. Yes, I would highly recommend the Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse for any serious e Sports player.

A must for any eSports player

I received the Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse to give my honest opinion. When I saw this mouse available to test, I was so thankful. One of the reason was the mouse that I have none well my old mouse. For some reason was malfunctioning, it would double click even though I intended on one click. I could barely highlight to copy and paste. I just wanted a mouse period, I did not care for the specialty pc mouse. After using the Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse for a few days, I am very pleased. I can say that this mouse, is not just a regular mouse. It is for those who are really into online gaming. The Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse gives you so many options to actually customize the mouse. It has the world's most advanced optical sensor. This mouse is a bit expensive, compare to the typical mouse. But it is worth it because it has a True 16,000 DPI optical sensor; Up to 450 IPS /50 g acceleration; Razer Mechanical Mouse switches. As I stated earlier, I am not big into online gaming, but I used to be. After using the Razor Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse, what I can say is that this mouse is great for those that are an online gamer or just basic computer user and would recommend for either.

The Deathadder is a poisonous snake from Australia, this will surely terrify your gaming opponent, but if it doesn`t the following features and specs will.
Boasting the worlds most advanced optical sensor, and 16,000 DPI top end resolution, you`ll be ready for anything.
For the rest of us, the matte black finish, rubber side grips and ergonomic design means long play sessions without sore hands.
This five button mouse also features up and down sensitivity buttons behind the mouse wheel, ranging from 800 to 
16,000 DPI and 99.4% resolution accuracy. If you know what all that means, I know I have your interest. The center wheel has grippy rubber padding, and the cord is braided fiber to stop tangling.
When you plug it into your computer a prompt screen asks to to install Razer`s software called Synapse which allows you to register your purchase, and to customize its features. The mouse wheel and logo are illuminated and Synapse allows you to adjust the colors and effects to your liking.
By registering through the software you activate your 2 year warranty with real time status of said warranty, and free online tech support.
Who needs that though, with mechanical switches good for at least 50 millions clicks.

A mouse as deadly as it namesake.

The Razer Deathadder Elite is a mouse for gamers, and it has many features that are useful.


The mouse has good response time, and is comfortable to grip and use for long hours.


 The mouse allows customization when you pair it with the Razor Synapse application. This application allows full and detailed customization over the functions of the keys. This application also can pair up with other Razor products such as a keyboard, albeit the customization varies from product to product, but still retain similar features like lights and rebind ability. However as this product is a mouse it has limited lighting effects and lacks many of the neat features that a keyboard has in store.


You can have lots of profiles that can be active when you are running certain applications. For an example you could have a profile only be active when you run your preferred web browser and have another profile active with other programs. Unfortunately you cannot have one profile linked to many different profiles, but you can have copy a profile with all its settings.

In each profile you can customize the bindings of the different mouse buttons and set the DPI in each profile. You could have a profile for an FPS game @800 DPI, and a profile for a web browser @1200 DPI. You can also rebind the (default) DPI buttons to something such as changing the computer's system volume.


 Not only is there profiles, but some applications may have a Razor Synapse addon which is activated by default when that program is running, a good example is Overwatch which has a custom addon that runs when Overwatch is active and changes the color of the mouse's glow according the hero you are playing.


 The mouse has a comfortable place for you to put your thumb while gaming and has large (but flat) Mouse Button 4 and 5.


 Overall this product is of a good quality and the Synapse application is useful for having customized key binding for each profile, however is not as good as customizing the keyboard.

Comfortable but quick response gaming mouse

I am using this mouse with my laptop and it is great. I love watching all the pretty colors that flash by when it is plugged into the USB port. There was pink, purple, and blue, and many other colors.

The mouse is a little larger than I was expecting, but it works and moves smoothly. I like that it is black and easy to clean. 

You will need to have Windows 7 or higher to use the mouse.

Love the colors

The Razer Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse is an excellent mouse for everyday business applications, but it is an outstanding, out of this world gaming mouse. It has an ergonomic, claw like grip and fits my hands very comfortably. The changing and customizable light color affects enhance its actions and the rubber side grips help in holding it. However, when gaming, this mouse seems to be alive as it has quicker reaction time than others I have had. The reaction sensors, speed, and accuracy of weapon shots are much faster than others. I did not know what I was missing before I got this mouse. The emotion and interaction differences are like comparing 3D movies to silent movies. This mouse improves all gaming. Aside from this, I have found no mechanical or functional problems.

I received this product as a member of the walmart spark reviewer program. Similar to the razer ornata chroma keyboard, the razer death adder mouse is also pretty nice. the mouse is a gaming mouse so the asthetic design are quite detailed. the scroll roller and the logo on the mouse are the locations for the enhanced lighting effects installed on the product. the mouse is corded which is okay but a wireless connection would be better. I believe the corded connections are used to maintain a power source for the lighting effect that is not reliant on batteries. the mouse has decent ergonomic architecture but it still requires a slightly twisted wrist placement, so the ergonomics can be improved. it also has multiple buttons, four, in addition to the right and left clicks. there are two on the thumb side and two adjacent to the scroll wheel. the two adjacent to the scroll wheel control the sensitivity of the on scree movement arrow with regards to the movement of the mouse but it can be slightly annoying because its location makes it easy to accidentally press it, leading to unnecessary variations in arrow speed. Overall, the mouse is precise, efficient, and programable which are all positives that make this product a must have for those looking for a good responsive mouse.

Cool Mouse

Didn't even get the deathadder elite, got the deathadder essential instead. The box came dented but mouse was fine, all these other reviews says they got the deathadder elite but somehow I ended up with the essential. DO NOT BUT
