Questions & Answers (51)
- A: I bought two of the video cards and kept wondering the same thing. Finally one night I was reviewing the product page for the video card on Best Buy's website trying to figure out how to get my game codes and one of the support chat windows popped open. I explained my situation to the support representative, gave them my receipt/order number and they quickly resolved this for me. I had my game code in my email within a few minutes.
- A: This is the official nvidia brand, like the TItans
- A: Maybe? measure the length of that card then compare it to this card. Your main issue will be the power supply. The 1070 requires a min of 500 watts, I couldn't find what PSU they use for that build. I do know the min power requirement for the 1060 is lower. So if the PSU is <500 watts then you need to also buy a new PSU. IF its greater than 500 watts, then all you need to do is check the card length to see if it'll fit in the case.
Q: Hi, how can you know which store has it in stock? Thanks (3 answers)
A: Right down the sku # and call your local store. The automated line will prompt questions, enter sku to check stock.- A: If your laptop is Thunderbolt 3 enabled there is an external enclosure you can buy for a graphics processor, however do your research. HP does make their own enclosure, but it might not be the best option for you. There’s lots of incompatibility roadblocks and your laptop may not have thunderbolt 3 to begin with, check out eGPU.io for more information.
Q: Is that brand new ? (3 answers)
A: If you're asking about the condition of the product, it is indeed brand new. If you mean "Is this the latest from Nvidia?" That's a yes, but I'd imagine not for much longer.- A: The listed recommended power supply is 500 watts. I don't think CPU is a factor here. (I picked up like 650 watt power supply a year ago and haven't had to worry about power since) What video card do you currently have ? By the way, this is a really nice video card, I've been very happy with it.
Q: operating temps? (2 answers)
A: Depends what usage you are using this at. For me browsing the web, I see 40-50 Celsius. For usage at 80-100% you're looking at 82C. The card has a max temp of 85C then the fans kick in at 100% speed. I have an itx build so ventilation is not the best. If you have better airflow, I bet these temps would go down.
