You just should find some aspect or good way to present something atht already has been covered over and over, or just slighly twist it or add to it, or even combine those information in one piece…
In a word, you add your value, your work.
In sum: Write good blog post, longer and good the post is, the better chance you get adsense approval. So invest your time in producing good content ( I actually prefer to use good content over using high quality content because this latter is definitely intimidating!).
Some other things to consider (but after fulfiling the first requirement: good content):
1- Necessary pages: about, contact, Privacy policy, Cookies policy and refer to GDPR especially if you have traffic from Eauropean countries - these are necessary pages and you must have them before applying. ^But fortunately they are easy to create.
2- Preferably add your real photo to the About page, as that may gain your blog more credibility and serious touch.
3- Have some social media pages like facebook, twitter … linked to your blog.
4-A good template: I mean by a good template, one that is not ill-coded, one that is not blocking robots and crawlers or crushes while loading, things like that.
I thinks the form, esthetic side does not matter. I personally prefer simple and minimalist templates as they load fast which is good for seo and user experience and hence google would like that!
