Stiff and uncontrollable - mini glue gun is better
I'm really struggling with this. I think the first glue stick went through as expected but since then it is very difficult to use. I'm a strong chap but I struggle with the trigger. It's quite a work out for my grip strength. Full force and a little trickle comes out or occasionally an enormous amount. I started with the 7mm mini glue gun which is great. I upgraded to this because I thought it could have a more precise tip and the glue sticks would last longer. The tip is about the same as on mini glue gun but the glue sticks do last longer. I've now got a lot of 11mm glue sticks to use up. Maybe I'll try another 11mm glue gun. Maybe just this one is faulty.

Glue Gun
I am delighted with this Glue Gun which I bought for my mother who is a great Hobbyist. She came to stay with us at Christmas and bought her Glue Gun with her as we were attending a Charity Christmas Fayre and she was wanting to make a few cards and gift tags to sell......To cut a long story short Easyjet allowed her to bring her Glue Gun up to Scotland from England but sadly confiscated it from her on the return flight......Come on 83 year old with craft items also in hand luggage. So I had my first ever trip to a Hobbycraft shop and was just amazed, the staff were so helpful and the stock they had was amazing....can't wait to see my Mum's face when she returns to Scotland next month and all her new craft items are hidden in the wardrobe waiting for her......They'll stay here so whenever she visits she can carry on with her crafts. Will definitely be back to Hobbycraft…….Thank you.

Great glue gun
I bought this as something I have wanted for a long time it's my first glue gun and had always found ones out of my price range when I found one in Hobbycraft for a reasonable price I was overjoyed and had to have it. I have now put it to use and couldn't be happier with the product it's easy to use has great instructions and doesn't take too long to cool down. This is a great product and I'm not only satisfied with the product but with the store as the replacement glue sticks are easy to find in store along with the product but the staff are friendly and helpful I always have a nice chat with the people serving at the tills as someone that is very shy and has anxiety this is a huge plus as they always make me feel relaxed and welcome.

Bad burn to hand
Used the glue gun only twice. Found it difficult to control. The heat it generated was just too much. It went through glue sticks at a ridiculous rate. On the second occasion of using it, it blew up! It caused a bad burn to my finger which I had to buy treatment for at the chemist.
When I took it back to a store they did replace the gun for me. I am however reluctant to use the new one after my previous bad experience.

Works Great
My first ever glue gun purchase and I'm very pleased. For any other newbies like me, I put one stick of glue in and wondered why it wasn't working. I had to put two stick of glue in before it was enough to make it work. Once I did that, the gun worked great. Used it to add dried oranges etc to a fresh wreath. Would highly recommend, it's going to be very useful!

You need to be fast!
Ok so I admit I'm not an expert glue gun user, but I thought it would be pretty straightforward. It kind of is - you put in the glue sticks, switch it on, then press too release the glue.
The problem is that but the time you finish pressing and releasing the glue, before you can fix your products together, the glue dries! And it dries rock hard . So then it's a pain removing this hard crusty glue and trying again only to fail again.
Might be good for small areas with practice...

Excellent glue gun
I purchased this glue gun after initially purchasing a cold glue gun, this gun is so much better. It heats up quickly and works really well.

Disappointed
I'm sorry to say I'm disappointed with this glue gun. The trigger is so stiff that it makes controlling the glue quite difficult and I end up with sore fingers after a short time of using it.
