I was given the opportunity to try a bag of these VT Smoke and Cure Mini Meat Sticks Beef BBQ flavor for my opinion of them. These come in a bag with 6 individually wrapped meat sticks which are considered mini's , they are a little over 3" long which I consider a good snack size. Now , the taste GREAT ! they are super good. These are not like the regular meat sticks you are probably accustomed to , these are Meaty and Juicy. They are not tough and dry as most meat sticks on the market are. The BBQ flavor is so tasty , and authentic when you take a bite into the stick the BBQ sauce is SO juicy it's unbelievable. These are Gluten free for anyone that happens to need Gluten free and they are also made with out the use of Antibiotics which is super ! 
They are not actually that fattening as long as you don't eat the whole bag at once , which may be hard to do because they taste so good. 
I will say they are super great tasting, juicy, very meaty and will make a great snack for anytime anywhere. I think they would be great to have on hand when hiking, jogging, road trip any time that something may go wrong and you would need food to survive until help arrived, a great survival food to carry with you. They are sealed well and would last. 
 Bottom line is they are awesome taste super , juicy and very meaty.

One word..DELICIOUS..sums it up nicely..These min sticks have a deep, medium spicy taste and are made of beef & pork raised free of antibiotics or added hormones...They are packaged in a resealable pouch and each one is individually wrapped....The only negative is that I found the individual wrapping very difficult to open...

The back of the package of the BBQ Seasoned Beef sticks has a picture detailing the added ingredients in the beef. The ingredients are red bell pepper, cumin seeds, and molasses. The ingredient list at the bottom of the package also includes garlic and onion.

The BBQ flavor is a little sweet, not greasy at all. Compared to other meat sticks these are much lower in sodium and are very flavorful without lots of garlic flavor.

My son does not like the taste and texture of slim, greasy meat stick products - he loves the taste of Vermont Minis BBQ Seasoned Beef Sticks. The texture is not mushy and plastic tasting, but a real meat texture and taste. He loves these! I love the taste and texture. These are the perfect snack for a low carb, gluten-free, and / or paleo diet. No need for refrigeration. Easy to ship, very travel friendly.

Perfect for hiking, quick pick me up during the work day when you just cannot stop, easy to pack in a lunch, purse, or coat pocket.

meaty sweet bbq taste

These BBQ meat sticks are so good...the BBQ taste is subtle...and doesn't over power the other ingredients..Don't let the "Antibiotic and Gluten free fool you..They are full of flavor and not tough at all, like other meat sticks brands...not to mention they have no added hormones...these mini sticks are a healthy snack at only 45 calories each...I had my picky teenage son try them...and he actually liked them...Try them...you won't be disappointed =)

Perfect snack!

These Vermont brand bbq seasoned sticks were absolutely delicious. It is beef raised without antibiotics, no added hormones, vegetarian feed and gluten-free. The sticks are seasoned with cumin, red bell peppers, and molasses. It comes in at 3g of protein, 45 calories and 140g of sodium. The ingredients list is not too bad, with only 10 ingredients (In order): Beef, spices, molasses powder, sea salt, evaporated cane sugar, onion, celery juice powder, ascorbic acid, garlic, lactic acid starter culture (not from milk). The packaging says that the beef sticks are encased in collagen. As far as taste goes, it is a wonderfully smoky flavor and tastes fresh. The sticks are a bit small, but it says right on the package these are mini style sticks. I have a picture of a stick next to a ruler so you can get a feel for exactly the size of them. They are a perfect go-to snack for me. I can slip them into a purse easily and reach for it when snack cravings emerge to help me keep up with not eating junk food. Since it is meat, it satisfies cravings during the day. I would highly recommend this product and I honestly do not have any cons to mention.

Great Go-To Snack

I was never very interested in meat sticks because I found them to have an artificial flavor and sodium nitrate. This jerky has changed my mind completely. Not only does it have a pleasant, natural taste it is slightly moist and easy to chew. It does not contain any sodium nitrate or antibiotics. It is individually wrapped and easy to open. Since it is 4 inches long I didn't have to worry about what to do with the rest if I didn't want to eat the whole thing. It is great to carry in a pocket because of it's size and being well sealed. I never got to put any in my pocket the next day because all six disappeared in less than an hour. Mostly by me.. Since I was asked to review this item I received a small package. I will definitely purchase a large package hoping there will be some left over to put in a pocket another day.

This is a review for the Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Stick Go Pack. Each package contains 6 .5 oz. mini BBQ beef sticks. 
The particulars:
Each Stick contains 45 calories, 3 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. The company states the beef is raised without antibiotics, which is awesome, and there is no added hormones and is vegetarian fed and gluten free...all positives!
The taste:
When I opened the package, my first instinct was it smelled different and a little off-putting. I was still not excited after my first bite. I then peeled the stick(each one comes with a paper like wrapping that you can eat or discard) and continued to eat it. Each ensuing bite was better than the previous one. After finishing it, I found it to be pretty tasty, less greasy than others and I wanted more. 
Another benefit is its small size...perfect for the pocket to take with you when you get hungry.
All in all, I enjoyed these sticks and would recommend them to others.

Not bad...

Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks Go Pack are delicious and meaty. I liked that the product was individually wrapped which resulted in overall freshness from the first stick to the last. 
One issue you usually find with processed meat products is a preservative/cardboard taste. I did not find that with Vermont Smoke & Cure. The one disappointment was the BBQ flavor. I did definitely taste meat but the hint of BBQ was hard to detect. Still worth buying but don't expect an overpowering BBQ flavor.

Tasty and natural

I wasn't familiar with the Vermont Smoke and Cure brand before coming across this product. I'm not a fan of store bought meat sticks usually since a popular brand of them continues to up the price while making the sticks smaller and adding more filler. I was happy to see the Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks are made with real beef along with other ingredients that I actually recognized and did not sound like a laundry list of chemicals. Best of all the animals are raised without antibiotics or hormones and are vegetarian fed. This particular package contained 6 BBQ flavored mini sticks. I found the mini sticks to be not enough of a snack. Eating one only whetted my appetite and wasn't the least bit filling. Personally I like the cracked pepper flavor full size sticks best. The BBQ seasoning in these was strong and came off as more hot or spicy than sweet BBQ which I wasn't prepared for and a few bites sent me running for some water to cut down on the burn going on in my mouth. Saying that, I could see where these would appeal to people who like that spicy flavor. It just wasn't what I expected.

More fiery than expected

These sticks are really tiny, which was kind of a bummer. I also tried the original flavor and liked it a lot better than this BBQ one. The BBQ flavor is slightly smokey and spicy but it's also greasier on the surface. It's not too chewy, which is good but the BBQ flavor isn't really that great.
