The unit does have an on/ off switch for the USB port and the inverter. It is impossible to say if it will last the entire time you are away; however, based on the limited drain on the battery you have suggested it should be fine. Make sure you follow all of the instructions in the manual and fully charge the unit before your trip. Also, using the DC port and built in USB charging port is more efficient and can extend your runtime.

yes there is an on/off switch for the 500 watt inverter but my 300 watt fan bogs down on this but I can charge my phone several times over a week as long as no jump starts or Compressor use

How long is battery life if not in continuous use and is there an on/off swtich?

The Black & Decker 500 watt power station does not use gasoline for any reason.
This unit is powered by an internal sealed lead acid battery. The listing in the specifications was a type-o.

I've had this Power Station for almost a year and it has been awesome! I've needed every feature it offers and it has performed exactly the way it is advertised. Make sure you follow the rules as far as keeping the battery charged so the product will last! I'm going to be buying another one form my daughters car!

Great Product that works everytime I need it!

I had a party and needed extra power I used the black and decker and it played my music and miscellaneous items for eight hours on a full charge. Very happy with product at this time. It does take a long time to charge unit if it is fully dead so be aware if that.

Great charger

Used this on a three night camping trip to power my CPAP and charge my phones and it did it all with no problems.

did exactly what I needed it to do

I bought this because I was looking for something that has power and that I could use instead of a generator. Well this works great. The other day my battery happend to lose power due to a device I had installed in my car. Well I used it to jump the car and it worked like a champ.

Very nice to have in garage or car

This does everything we wanted. The only problem we have is with the indicator lights. As soon as it has a full charge & we unplug it, it returns to the low charge light. Otherwise, seems to be a great unit.

As a woman having to do chores all by myself  this has made them easier

Easy to use

I needed this for my Christmas float. Had a couple trees and some snow flakes to light up. Charged as instructed. Had no more plugged in the lights that the charge dropped down to nothing. After about 15 minutes the battery was run down..... luckily that was just a trial run. Hopefully can find something else before the parade. This one is going back...

Hate it

So far it has not held a charge very well, I was hoping to use it for my CPAP machine, but it runs out of battery after a few hours, I think it's fine for charging a phone and some very low wattage items, but not good for any fans or tools.

Black & Decker 500 Watt Power station

Close to a year of ownership on this black and decker power station, two things became useless. And this with low usage of the product. Both household outlets did not work at all. The other issue was the tire inflator, it would run.. but was not able to inflate a car tire at all either.
I have a black & decker power drill I bought for around $20 dollars from Walmart, ten years ago and it is going strong. Very disappointed on this power station product from black and decker. I had high regards towards this brand.

Great at first..But then...

We looked and looked for a cord to plug it into the wall for its first charge. We finally had to go buy a cord. I think this is very poor after paying $107.00 for this item.
