Walmart's Black Friday Ad 2019.
The big retailers have released the details of their Black Friday ads - a few weeks ahead of when they go live - and there are some good deals to be had.
Target, Walmart, Best Buy and others are offering discounts for the latest flagship smartphones and even bigger price cuts for last generation laptops, smartwatches and tablets.
But, before the deluge of discounts finally lands at the end of the month, which deals from those big three retailers look the most promising so far? Here are the 20 best phone and tech deals I’ve seen so far.
Phones
Of all the gift card deals, Walamrt has the stand out options. There’s a $300 gift card that comes with every the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and 1Phone 11 Pro Max purchase (if you sign up to a contract).
There’s an impressive $450 gift card that comes with every Samsung S10, S10+ and Note 10+ purchase (with a contract). Or a $300 gift card with the S10e and last year’s Note 9.
Here’s where it gets more interesting: there’s an additional $250 gift card if you trade in your old device. It’s worth noting that the trade-in value of your old phone - if it’s damaged or not working - will affect the value of that extra gift card - $250 is the maximum value. Walmart says you can claim up to $700 in gift cards, which will buy a lot of other Black Friday tech.
Over at Best Buy you’ll find one of the better Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL deals, which are $400 off with a contract.
For unlocked devices, the very capable Pixel 3A XL, which is arguably better value for money than the Pixel 3, is $100 off, bringing the price down to $249. There’s also a straight $200 off an unlocked Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL.
Reprising last year’s deal, all of Samsung’s current flagship lineup - the S10, S10+ and the Note 10+ - are all a straight $200 off (unlocked), too.
Tech
Samsung and Android Wear smartwatches have some good discounts at Target, with $80 off Galaxy 42mm smartwatch and a big $110 off the Fossil Sport smartwatch. At Best Buy there’s a huge $300 off the Fēnix 5X Sapphire Smartwatch 51mm.
From Walmart you can pick up a $99 FitBit Versa Lite, a $149 Oculus Go and a $129 Apple Watch Series 3. There’s also $70 off the 7th gen iPad and $70 off Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A 10.1 inch.
At Target, the Nest Hub and Google Home have $50 off each - you’ll see the same deal at Best Buy, alongside $80 off the Nest video doorbell. Amazon rival product - the Ring Doorbell 2 - is $70 off at Best Buy, and there’s a two pack of Ring indoor cameras come with a $20 gift card at Target.
