I got these bags in December to cut down on my use of disposable bags. I liked them so much that I purchased another set as a Xmas present. I recently purchased the 50 oz size for larger food items. I also have silicone bags, but I like these better for everyday use because they are more similar to a disposable zippered bag. The material is thick and durable enough for my use. I haven't used them in the freezer yet, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't work as well as a disposable bag.
I have had no trouble keeping these clean. I wash them by hand and then let them air dry on a baggy rack (purchased on Amazon)
