I live in a 30 ft RV. That said, space for storage is always at a premium. I bought these Yocice shoe racks despite the mixed reviews, & I'm glad I did. Yes they are plastic, but that makes fitting odd shaped or sized shoes easy. Yes, the sticky tape they include didn't seem strong enough to hold my leather shoes. So I simply replaced their included sticky tape for 3M sicky tape labeled for 5 lbs & made sure I used two, instead of one, on each side. They work well, it's a great fit, & it looks nice & neat.
