Nothing says fall like mulled apple cider with its warming flavor and inviting aroma. We gave our stovetop version a tart cranberry kick and then spiked it with cinnamon sticks and cloves for a quick and easy treat that’s ready in about 20 minutes. Another perk: It will make your home smell divine. The key ingredient is, of course, apple cider. You’ll need fresh apple cider that has no added sugar or spices, or you can use unfiltered apple juice. A cloudy cider found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store are both good clues that you’re buying the right thing. Fragrant cinnamon sticks enhance the flavor and can also be used as a pretty garnish when serving drinks.
