Sibling folk-pop duo Lily & Madeleine has been enthralling critics and fans alike with their delicate yet robust sound and stunning vocal harmonies. The pair's unadorned melodies, simple drum patterns, and nostalgic guitar tones make for an uncluttered sound, but the result is anything but simple -- finely crafted songs like "Come To Me" and "The Wolf is Free" demonstrate a depth of musicality that belies Lily & Madeleine's recent arrival on the critical radar. At their intimate live shows, the duo exude a kindred spirit and singularity of vision that only siblinghood can produce, treating fans to a sensitive and poignant concert experience they won't soon forget.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, sisters Lily and Madeleine Jurkiewicz began singing together in high school, performing and uploading cover songs to YouTube. Their videos caught the attention of local producer Paul Mahern, who invited them to his studio to record their debut EP The Weight of the Globe. After a video of the pair singing in the studio went viral on social news site Reddit, the EP was picked up and released by Sufjan Stevens' Asthmatic Kitty Records. The release was an indie sensation, earning praise from critics including the New York Times, who called its perfectly blended harmonies "extraordinary." With their career on the rise, the sisters played their very first shows to sold-out crowds in Indianapolis in 2013. Lily & Madeleine continued to impress in 2014 with their debut full-length Fumes, which they supported with a string of acclaimed performances on tour.

by Hobbs94 on 3/1/16Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisI had only heard this band as the two of them, usually one on guitar and one on piano, always with perfect flowing harmonies. I was surprised when they came out as a 4 piece band, the two sisters along with a drummer and a Cello/mandolin/guitar/probably-any-other-conceivable-instrument player. I was delighted to hear how well they worked as a band and how much their sound has evolved over time. I would absolutely recommend them and will definitely go the next time they're around.

The new songs are fantastic, and the new album will push them into the next phase of their long and illustrious career. Top notch talent. Will go back again and again to see these young ladies.

by conlogco on 10/27/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisDangerously good, the Siren Sisters blended their "oldies" (barely a year old) with many of the tracks from their new album, Fumes. They did a great job of that, backed by a full band and accompanied by the masterful Shannon Heyward on cello, mandolin and guitar. My daughter made the comment - "Their songs sound better performed live than they do on an album." How often can you say that about an artist? Overall, Lily & Madeleine at Old National was all that I expected and more. Six of us attended and we are all STILL talking about it.

Their style is so unique, but I almost feel like I'm listening to Simon & Garfunkel...the female version! And they write their own music which is so incredible considering how young these 2 sisters are. Congratulations on a stunning performance.....you "wowed" the crowd!
