Easy to use and clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This multi-functional grill/griddle/panini press is incredibly easy to use. It is fairly small and is easily stored. The grill plates come off and are dishwasher safe. This is great for grilling veggies... Just make sure to slice them about the same thickness so they cook at the same rate!

Grills almost everything.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good grill. I really like that it traps all the juices in so my meat is not dry after it's done being grilled.

Great for making breakfast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this particular griddler for some number of years now. This includes cooking countless pancakes, french toast, hash browns, sausage, bacon and other assorted breakfast goodies. We've used it to make panini as well, but to a much lesser extent (a matter of preference, it does a great job with panini too). I can't say enough good things about it. The heat distributes extremely evenly, and never produces hot spots. The griddle plates themselves are removable (for easy cleaning) and reversible (flat vs ridges). Despite all the miles this thing has seen, the plates themselves are still in great condition. When it was on sale I bought two more, one as a replacement should it ever fail, and one as a gift. Whether it is used panino style (as a press) or opened all the way it never produces much of a mess, with excess grease/fluids finding their way perfectly into the drip tray. It cooks to perfection. Even at the hottest temperature settings, it's real hard to burn your food (ymmv depending on the food obviously). I'm no super chef, but I know my way around a kitchen just fine... I highly recommended.

Love This Griddler
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing! It does so many things well. I've used it as a contact grill for fish and chicken, used the griddle plates to toast pastrami sandwiches on both sides at once, used it as an open griddle for bacon, sausage and eggs, done thick panini on it and even used it as an open grill for t-bone steaks and it handled everything well. The plates pop out for easy cleaning (I just hand wash them) and the drip tray can easily handle the grease from an entire pound of bacon without overflowing. We also bought the waffle plates that fit this griddler and it makes great waffles with no sticking! It's great for making big batches of waffles, then freezing them for quick breakfasts.

Multiple Uses and Easy to Clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my eye on one of a Griddler for years. The whole 'Panini Press' thing intrigued me back in the day when the sandwhich fad started. When this went on sale I eagerly picked it up. I'ved used it for the following: 1. Reheaitng pizza. 2. Cookings eggs over easy. Make sure you have a level counter top for this. 3. Cooking burgers. 4. Grilled cheese. 5. Sausage, breakfast and Italian 6. Trimmed chicken breast 7. Hot dogs. 8, Pretzel Rolls/Breads/Tortas It cooks evenly but you have to make sure that the food you're prepping is of an even size. For example, if you don't prep your hamburger to be of an even size, it'll cook more on one side than the other. Cleanup is easy. Warm soap and water and you're done. The machine is easy to use. Just pop in the plates on the side you want and you're good to go. The grease capturing feature is probably it's weakest point. It works but it's a narrow funnel and unless you're pushing the grease out that way, there's a good chance it's just going to stick to the griddle anyway. Highly recommended if you've got bad pans that don't heat evenly.

Q: Questioncan you grill frozen hamburger patty and at what temp.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes and they will be done in 5 minutes. I use this for a lot of frozen and fresh meats. Just season it and cook it. You may want to spay a little Pam on it if you are cooking boneless chicken breast. I put mine on 325 and then use medium and I close the top to cook.

Q: QuestionHow good does it cook chicken?
Asked by Jose.
- A:Answer I use my griddle/grill to cook chicken breasts for Fajitas, Chicken Alfredo Pasta, or fresh chicken to go in my Caesar salad. I rinse my chicken off first and then cook them whole for 7 to 10 minutes depending on the thickness. When finished, I let the breasts cool for a moment before slicing. By the time I’m done eating, the griddle plates are cool enough to wash before residue dries and therefore making it easy to wash and dry and don’t forget to check the juice drip pan on the bottom also.

Q: QuestionWhen I made cheese sandwiches it smashed the bread and the cheese ran out what did I do wrong?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi Anonymous. I experienced the same problem the first time I tried to make grilled cheese while suing the Griddler in its "press" set up. Regular sandwich bread is not sturdy enough to hold up to the weight of the top half of the Griddler. If you want to make a panini type sandwich, Betty Crocker recommends a crustier bread like focaccia, ciabatta or a whole grain baguette. If you are making a simple grilled cheese sandwich, use the latch on the hinge to lay the Griddler flat. In that configuration I can have eight grilled cheese sandwiches cooking at the same time for my family. Fair warning, though; the sandwiches cooking on the bottom half will cook faster than those on the lid half. Good luck!
