Bengala is a mud dye made of natural and sustainable material mined from soil. Using traditional methods and modern technology, ancient colors have been revived as a new textile dye. They are available in 12 colors. As Susuzome Soot Dye and Aijo Indigo Dye are added to Bengala Dye to make overlay shades, the color variation further spreads.

Bengala dye is gentle on people and environmentally as well as ecologically safe. Bengala has gentle UV protection, and the color doesn't fade in the sun. In addition, it can be dyed on any materials* and used for various methods such as painting, stencil, and silk printing.

Use pre-fixer* to fix dye pigments well to the material.

No heat! No hot water!
Simply dye in tap water and dry well. The color is stable once the fabric is well dried.

Color K-2 is Titanium dioxide which is also used in K-3, K-5, and K-11.

Volume to dye: 600-800 gram (approx. 5 T-shirts depending on the depth of the shade.)

Ideal for fabric, yarn, and fiber of cotton, wool, linen, paper, hemp, ramie, rayon, silk, and even synthetic fibers pretreated with Bengala Dye Pre-fixer.

*Pre-Fixer will create a more vibrant and longer-lasting color with Bengala dyes, Susuzome, and Aijozome.

I have dyed 4 items of clothing with the pink (Haruzakura): 1 light-linen jacket, 1 heavy-linen Tang coat, 1 gauze-cotton blouse, and 1 linen blouse. All turned out beautifully. I highly recommend using the Pre-Fixer treatment before dyeing.
