My 7-Eleven 4+

WARNING to users of the 7-Eleven App. It’s ripping people off. ! I locked in a fuel lock that was a really good price. When I went to use it I went straight into MY Card which shows the barcode as this is what they need to scan. The fuel lock should have been valid for 2 more days yet it had dropped off. Like it does when it’s been used. I contacted 7Eleven by phone. Lodged the incident with in the App as advised. The email response was that they couldn’t see that I had locked it in. So even though I had explained I definitely did they really didn’t listen or care. Then I called again and they said I had only been using the App for 3 months. Which again was totally not accurate. So it seems the App has multiple issues!! And they aren’t taking responsibility for it. So I will be taking my business elsewhere as I don’t support rip offs and dishonesty.

I love this app - I can’t see how anyone can lose by using it !
Having read some of the reviews it’s pretty clear people don’t know how this app works and aren’t taking advantage of the great savings.
Here’s how I us the app.
As I have two cars I set up a second account in my wife’s name - that way I can lock in low prices a couple of days apart and take advantage of lower prices for longer than seven days.
I also search nearby stations using the store locator that are outside my 5klm area, but on my regular routes, and lock in cheaper prices when I’m within those areas.
I also worked out that if I drive just up the road from my local servo I get a different set of stations and one of them nearly always has THE best prices - so I lock in there and then. Have a play - you will achieve great savings !
It’s not for everyone but, I opted to purchase two gift cards and redeemed them to my accounts then pay by credit card at fill up. That way I always have credit on the accounts.
If you see a price that is lower than your voucher price you simply don’t use the voucher - you only ever buy fuel at the lower price.
It’s easy for a novice user to make a mistake and lock in a voucher for less fuel than you want (like I did). In that case simply buy 2 liters of fuel to use that voucher (you will only ever pay the cheaper price) and then lock in a new voucher.
Shame it still doesn’t work on iPhone 8+ !!!!

A work colleague put me onto this app and I can’t thank her enough. The fuel prices are always all over the shop and go up and down like a yo yo. It these uncertain times it’s refreshing to have some stability with fuel prices. Not only the fuel lock (fantastic for when you hear prices are about to go up but 20-30 cents per litre, I’m sure customers are totally getting ripped off), but the specials and rewards when you continue to tap are just the best. Who doesn’t like a freebie? Well done 7/11 and keep looking after your valued customers. Two thumbs !
